Here’s the thing…as a forces ‘orphan’, I left home at 19, moved away, lived a life of service and settled in an area that was never ‘home’. I’m miles (understatement of the century) from my family…but all that was ok..I had my ‘family’ in the forces…right up until I didn’t….THEN.. these bunch of misfit heroes came along. U see, no matter what ur background in service…Army, Navy or RAF, they will put their arms around u regardless…u will get banter, hugs, beers and even the odd wooly hat thrown ur way…but they got ur six. 👊🫡They are like FAMILY. They are the feeling of belonging TOO someone and OF something that we all miss when we leave. If u need a hug, a beer or just someone to listen…they got u… Special shout out to the incredible @CombatStress team NOT in this pic as they were clearing up and getting everything home…rather than heading to the pub…ladies…that was a wise choice based on my head this morning 🤪😝 thank you for all you do!🙏 I will proudly be marching with @CombatStress this Sunday past the Cenotaph so please come say hi if you see me! 👌

Having dinner with my wife last night for our 39th wedding anniversary, it did hit me. If Reform succeeded, I could soon be in prison for a crime I did not commit - there is every likelihood that I would have been behind bars for my 40th wedding anniversary. All from a false complaint regarding a non-event months before, conveniently put to the police immediately after I criticised Farage. This isn't 'cancel culture', they tried to put me in prison. Now I'm told by the Farage sycophants that I should let it go for the 'good of the country'? I should 'move on'? I had four armed police officers arrive at my home at 21.30, unannounced - terrifying my wife. Under police investigation regarding entirely false allegations for over two months, having my name dragged through the mud. All driven by people I once considered colleagues, even friends. Ask yourself - what would you do? How would you feel? I understand these people are desperate for a seat from Reform, but bloody hell - have some dignity. I have come to the firm conclusion Reform will not deliver the fundamental change that is required. The leadership doesn't want to smash the establishment, it wants to be the establishment - therein lies the core issue. Are they best placed now? Yes. Can that rapidly change? Absolutely. An administration required for the challenges ahead simply cannot be built on one man's ego, regardless of its unique earth-shattering size. Four days is a long time in politics, four years is an eternity. A lot can change, and a lot will change. So, do I go quietly and enjoy my retirement on a beach somewhere? Or do I fight to give the British people the genuine alternative they deserve? In whatever form that may take. As much as I enjoy a mojito in the sun, I'm not going anywhere. This is just the start.

I'm so happy to be back on my feet again. Nearly 6 months of not being able to drive ended three weeks ago. Back to normal duties and delivering haylage to clients. It's been a long, hard 6 months. I'm seeing the light now, though.

Well today is my last ever day driving trains after 39 years all at Newcastle central station. 11.48 to Ashington and back to Newcastle 13.09 and that me all done.

Last night, the Lahore Development Authority (LDA) did something no one with a heart could ever justify. They demolished the bird and pet market in Lahore — and with it, buried thousands of innocent lives alive. If the market was built illegally, demolish it — but move the tiny lives first. Those cats, dogs, birds, and rabbits were not criminals. They were living, breathing beings who depended on humans for mercy. Islam teaches that taking one innocent life is like killing all of humanity. Yet, they buried countless souls without a second thought. Can anyone imagine if nature takes revenge and buries us alive the same way? We’ve already seen signs — horrific earthquakes and floods that remind us of how powerless we are before the Creator. Have we learned nothing? Where is our humanity? The cries of those helpless beings still echo — and our silence makes us part of this cruelty. Please speak up. I lost my darling Hope yesterday. Saved as a new born from a slaughter house 12 and a half years ago. She was the ultimate diva, funny and fussy and I loved her so much. Her arthritis had gone into three legs and I couldnt help. Sleep well. You were loved 💔

There’s no polite way to say this. NatureScot, why on earth are you allowing a group of men calling themselves the “Men of Ness” to land on your nature reserve and bludgeon hundreds of gannet chicks to death? Our Freedom of Information request reveals that 485 baby birds were hit over the head and killed just weeks ago. This is disgusting animal cruelty, dressed up as “tradition.” Grow a backbone and put an end to this barbarity.
