Cronos $CRO @CronosApp voted and the Proposal 33 got passed ✅️ Whats coming next? - Emissions decay to be implemented. Supply stays below 100B. • The current CRO is created by inflation to pay rewards. This proposal introduces a decay, 6.8% less new CRO per month. The purpose? It stays below the 100B cap and without it the cap would have exceeded by October 2027. In 5 years from now the emissions are going to be zero. -Staking tiers to go live soon. Longer commitment, higher yield. • You are going to be able not to locking your CRO upfront. You can choose a tier you want and earning a yield on it. If you decide to withdraw it, you will have to wait a 28 day period before you can fully unstake. For existing stakers nothing changes, you can upgrade to a tier if you want and no unbonding is required. You will also be able to keep voting power and can move between validators. - Revenue backs CRO now. • The staking rewards will come from real revenue, generated by the CronosApp and the Network. As the revenue grows, the rewards are more stable, the staking grow and the buybacks and burns are increasing, reducing the circulating supply 🔥 The new era begins. Tomorrow the upgrade will go live, Cronos is shifting from a inflation model to a revenue backed model.
