Here's one cool coincidence for you. Some time ago, I decided to learn more about the Watergate scandal. It's one of those events that everyone seemingly knows about, but once you start researching, it turns out that you don't know many details, and everything is not as you thought it was. So I asked to send me the books by two of the most prominent investigative journalists of the XX century, whose names stand in the beginning of every text about Watergate: All the President's Men and The Final Days by Carl Bernstein @carlbernstein and Bob Woodward @realBobWoodward. When it comes to books like these, people tend to say they've read them, even though most of the time they've only watched a movie based on them. But they're really worth a read. So, I've recently spent several really nice days in the SHIZO. The atmosphere there really helps you immerse yourself in the book (there's nothing but the walls and the book there anyway) and deeply think about it. So I experienced everything together with the authors, laughed with them, argued with them, called the sources and knew who of them lived where and who of them loved Rachmaninoff. For a couple of days they became like relatives to me. I had just finished reading when I saw the news: Woodward and Bernstein were speaking at a conference of investigative journalists in London. And Maria Pevchikh @pevchikh, the head of our investigation department, was also speaking there. Of course, I asked her to say hello to them and tell them that I had just read their books. And she actually went and told them! And they even wrote me a note! Pevchikh says they wrote this note together and fought three times while they were writing. And that makes it even nicer - I know that's how they always write! Thanks, Carl and Bob!
