Dec. 1931 was busy for Mary Pickford despite the global economic depression. Her Pickfair remodeling project was completed in time for Olympic guests. Doug arrived home "without a toothbrush or a clean shirt" & her tree was one of thousands she had decorated across Beverly Hills.
