Gambian Women Shine at Geneva Academy: Trio Earns Top Honors in Human Rights Mastery
In a milestone for Gambian excellence, three remarkable women from The Gambia have graduated with top honors from the prestigious Geneva Academy of International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights, underscoring the nation's rising influence in global justice and governance.
Fatoumata Bah, 28, clinched the coveted Best Paper Award in the Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Transitional Justice, Human Rights and the Rule of Law. Her standout thesis on transitional justice mechanisms earned rave reviews, culminating in a powerful speech at the graduation ceremony.
Joining her in triumph, Mam Degen Fye and Maimuna Manneh both graduated Magna Cum Laude from the MAS in Human Rights and the Rule of Law. Their stellar performances highlight the trio's intellectual prowess and commitment to advocacy.
