The World Baseball Classic was incredible and it was a riveting television product. A big reason why it was so entertaining? You could see how much the players and fans CARED. That's one of the issues the NBA has right now. The regular season is a joke. I don't think the sport of baseball has ever been better or more entertaining. This is why MLB cannot afford to go on a strike next year. They have to capitalize on this momentum. Data points: MLB ratings have gone up three straight years. ESPN had double digit gains in 2025 and MLBTV saw a record 34 percent increase. World Series ratings crushed the NBA Finals. MLB ratings in 2025: Fox: +9 percent ESPN: +21 percent TBS: +29 percent Postseason: +13 percent YoY 18-34 demo: Highest in 11 years The 2025 World Series, which included a team from Canada, averaged around 15 million viewers per game. The NBA Finals averaged around 10 million. Game 7 peak for MLB was 25-27 million. Game 7 peak for NBA was 16.4 million. Dodgers vs Yankees the year before averaged around 15 million, Celtics vs. Mavs was around 11 million. Why squander that momentum and this golden opportunity to grow the game? #MLB #WorldBaseballClassic

The San Francisco 49ers are signing WR Christian Kirk to a 1-year, $6 million contract, according to @Schultz_Report. This will help the 49ers get a little faster on offense. Still has some juice, but Kirk has been injured a good bit the last three seasons. Only had 28 receptions for 239 yards and 1 TD last year with the Texans, but had 8 catches for 144 yards and 1 TD in the Wild Card round vs. Steelers. #49ers
