This is exactly what I said yesterday on the show…I have never and would never advocate for seclusion rooms. I think it’s a complex problem and I sympathize with educators trying to keep everyone safe with limited resources to do so.

.@chelseabird3 placing violent student in a seclusion room follows the same logic as incarcerating homeless individuals. These students need to be diagnosed, coded, & provided with appropriate medical & educational resources. Locking them away results in bigger problems. #abed
