Join us on Thursday 4th April for the final film in our 2023/2034 season - Nostalgia. After decades abroad, a man returns to his neighborhood in Naples for closure. Wistful memories quickly subsume him, and he finds himself enamored with the place he swore he’d left behind.

The next in our 2023/34 season is Thursday 21st March. Join us for Clara Sola, a stunningly realized Costa Rican drama in which a woman experiences a sexual and spiritual awakening after years of repression. Described by one review as 'Luis Buñuel converging with Carrie'.

Next up on the 25th January is Charlotte. An animated drama that tells the true story of Charlotte Salomon, a young German-Jewish painter who comes of age in Berlin on the eve of the Second World War. Fiercely imaginative and deeply gifted, she dreams of becoming an artist.

And so we take the season into 2024! Thanks for all that have attended the so far. Six wildly different and individual films down, 6 more to go! The 2023-2024 season continues on Thursday 11th January with The Quiet Girl!

Our 2023/2034 season continues on Thursday 23 November with The Beasts (As Bestas). Considered one of the best Spanish movies of recent years, it’s based on the true story of events that occurred in Galicia in 2010.

Next up on Thurs 2nd November is Martin Eden. Based on Jack London's novel, a film about the terrible loneliness of success that has parallels with the loneliness of failure; it’s also about the secret and shameful feeling that failure is the one truthful state of human existence

This Thursday sees our next film in the 2023/2024 season. All the familiar tropes of a conspiracy thriller yet presented in an intriguingly unfamiliar cultural context. Join us for Cairo Conspiracy in the Garret @StoryhouseLive on the 26th October at 7.30
