New year, new demo! @ChinookDisplay brought the #bladeslap back to #FIA2024 – this time with a new #Chinook role demonstration. Watch the skilled team showcase how the heavy-lift helicopter is used in the field with underslung loads, internally loaded vehicles, and more.

Here’s a sneak peak at our preparations for the RAF Cosford Airshow this weekend

We can’t wait to bring the #bladeslap to a show near you this summer! Here’s where you can catch us throughout the 2024 season. All our shows are subject to weather conditions, aircraft availability and operational commitments #chinookroledemo #rafodiham

The team will be supported by the Joint Helicopter Support Squadron (JHSS) @Joint_Heli who are responsible for the rigging of underslung loads, management of landing sites and passengers, they are essential to the delivery the Chinook capabilities.

It’s finally the time to introduce the Royal Air Force Chinook Role Demo for the 24 season. Expect an action packed show which will include underslung loads, internally loaded vehicles and trooping with the team demonstrating the full capability of the aircraft.

Due to ongoing global commitments, particularly in support of our NATO partners, we will not be conducting a full display this year. 2024 will see a reduced programme of role demonstrations, showcasing the aircraft’s incredible capabilities. Please watch this space for more.

It might be lovely weather for ducks if the forecast is true! These great @RAFAssociation Chinook ducks are available from their website. £3 for one or £8 for free.

Unfortunately, despite the hard work the Tutor Display Team and Babcock, as a result of a technical issue within the wider Tutor fleet, we will not be able to display tomorrow at the Cosford Air Show. We will still be at our stand in the RAF village so come over and say hi! 👋

He has over 1300 hours and has completed two tours of Mali, one in the Middle East and one humanitarian Op in the Caribbean. Away from flying he enjoys motorsport and live music. He is engaged to Camilla and they live with their two dogs Cass and Reggie.

Last but not least, is our final member of the display crew. Sgt Dave Bussey. Dave joined the RAF in 2008, but due to some holds arrived on the front line in 2017. Not one to waste time he qualified as an Air Traffic Controller and completed short tours at St Athen and Northolt.
