A few weeks ago, I remarked that Peter Obi had “old money” and was richer than Tinubu and Atiku, if they were valued based on “clean money.” Not many understood it. Peter Obi is in the league of Warren Buffett. If he wants to run for the Presidential election every election cycle, he can comfortably finance it. The millions he donates in his philanthropic works each month are mere peanuts compared to the amount that comes into his coffers monthly. The fact that such a man refused to bribe his way into power and chose not to pay people to vote for him, even when the money is more than enough for such a venture, is a valid reason to trust him and follow him. Unfortunately, Nigerians are already accustomed to a dysfunctional society that only listens and bows to the command of money. This is why instituting a change is a hard fight.✍️
