You would literally have to trespass & steal a whole cable box to pull that off and when the customer calls in to report their cable box missing it would be removed from their account and disabled remotely.

This guy is an employer of the cable company and is working at an apartment complex. The woman in the unit below that he is currently working didn’t like him being on her “porch” so she sprays him with pepper spray. So what happened next, she was arrested for the assault on him. Do you think she should have been? In my opinion she overreacted and got why she deserved.
