A prolific shoplifter who stole £14,656 worth of products during a month’s stealing spree has been sentenced to prison. Michael Hollingsworth, 42, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to 16 counts of theft, after targeting the same store between 24 Dec 2025 and 26 Jan 2026.

A romance fraudster has been sentenced to three years in prison after he manipulated vulnerable men into believing they were in romantic relationships. Thomas Godden, 26, of no fixed abode, defrauded three men out of a total of £28,488. Read more: bit.ly/4rDSYAY

The suspected thief was arrested at his home address after being identified through CCTV footage. He’s been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with theft from a gym locker in the City. The victim reported a theft to the police after he found his clothes on the floor and his bank cards missing from his locker.

A bag thief, who was caught on CCTV taking just seconds to steal a bag in a pub in the City of London, has been sentenced to prison. Plain-clothed officers arrested the thief and his accomplice, after spotting the two men acting suspiciously at Leadenhall Market.

A man who used a bed sheet to hide his identity to attack a former co-worker has been jailed. Javier De Brito Jardim, 36, of Bolney Street, SW8, was seen on CCTV wrapping himself in a white sheet on Cannon Street enroute to attack his victim.
