Good Friday was a solumn day of Christian worship and reflection across Romford and Hornchurch, commencing with a morning service at the Church of the Good Shepherd, Collier Row, followed by an open air service with churches of every denomination from Romford town centre in @RomfordMarket for prayers, readings, gospel singing and music provided by the Salvation Army Band @RomfordSA 🎺 🥁
In the evening, a stunning Passion Play performance took place in Hornchurch on the Queen's Theatre Green, attended by around 2,000 people... truly moving and inspiring!
Our nation's Christian foundations, as reflected in Britain's laws, customs, traditions and cultural heritage must be celebrated, cherished and defended.
In Havering, this Easter, Christianity is alive and well and growing across our community! ✝️ 🐣 🇬🇧🏴

Thank you Dean Floyd and Chigwell Construction @ChigwellGroup for saving our St. George's Day Scout parade in Collier Row by offering to donate £9,000 to cover the cost for a so called "traffic management" plan imposed by Havering Council, after the Metropolitan Police said they were not able to provide the necessary support. You're totally right though, this doesn't add up.
The marshalling for a 20 minute parade for local Scouts cannot possibly cost such a colossal sum of money and why in any case should local residents in Havering not get the Police cover we need for local community events, which we pay for through our council tax, when our actual Romford Police are constantly being sent to central London to deal with political marches and all kinds of left-wing demonstrations? I find it completely unacceptable and deplorable!
St. George's Day to celebrate England, English culture, customs and heritage is surely something that should be supported by the Police and Havering Council, without it becoming news headlines. It should be automatic.
Well done Romford and District Scout Association for keeping our pround national traditions alive in Havering! 🏴

➡️ Another weekend of action in Romford for Reform UK @reformparty_uk with my "Romford Team 23" and local activists, campaigning for root and branch change in Havering Town Hall at the local elections on Thursday 7th May.
➡️ A superb response from so many former Conservative, Labour and Residents' Association voters, who are now switching in large numbers to Reform UK. Havering Council is broken and our borough needs urgent Reform!
➡️ It was wonderful to be welcomed by so many local residents and friends in the wards of Havering-atte-Bower; Hylands and Harrow Lodge; Marshalls and Rise Park; Mawneys; Rush Green and Crowlands; St. Alban’s; St. Edward’s; and Squirrels Heath, who were overwhelmingly pleased to now be represented by a Reform UK Member of Parliament, who will always put Britain and Romford first! 🇬🇧🏴

Yesterday, Sir Robin Wales and Clive Furness joined Reform UK, leaving behind a Labour Party that has completely lost touch with the patriotic working class who once supported it in their droves.
More and more people from across the political spectrum are recognising that the old parties have failed Britain. @reformparty_uk is bringing together those who believe in putting our country - and the British people - first. 🇬🇧

There’s only one party on everyone’s mind in Romford, and that is @reformparty_uk. Come the May elections, let’s get a Reform UK led council and put our town and country borough back on the map!

Today, New Zealand commemorates the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi in 1840 between representatives of the British Crown and the Māori people. This historic treaty affirmed the Māori as British subjects, guaranteeing them the rights and privileges of British citizenship under the Crown of Queen Victoria.
From this partnership between British settlers and the Māori people has emerged, in less than two centuries, a stable and flourishing democracy - one that shares our parliamentary traditions, institutions, language, heritage, ancestry, and a common allegiance to the Crown, with His Majesty King Charles III as King of New Zealand!
So as Chairman of the Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands All-Party Parliamentary Group, I extend my warmest wishes on Waitangi Day to all those in New Zealand, the Cook Islands, Niue, Tokelau, and the Ross Dependency! God Defend New Zealand! 🇬🇧🇳🇿
