🥎 The Class C NSAA State Softball Champion Ceremonial First Pitch was thrown by Ashley Hagemann-Ford. Across her high school and college softball careers, Ashley Hagemann was a dominant presence in the pitching circle. Whether it was Elkhorn High School or the University of Nebraska, Hagemann was keeping opposing batters at bay with record-setting games and seasons. Hagemann helped lead the Antlers to four consecutive state championships, a feat that hasn't been matched by any Class B program in the nearly 30 years since a second class of softball schools was added in 1997. Hagemann was an assistant coach for three seasons at Bennington before moving west to become the head coach at Cozad High School for six years. Honored as a member of the Nebraska High School Hall of Fame Class of 2025, Hagemann now is in her second season as the pitching coach at defending Class B state champion Beatrice.
