3) You don't earn your food. You don't need to treat yourself with things that contradict your goals. You aren't obligated to eat things at parties. You don't have to ban desserts. You are in charge of you. Don't let the holidays pressure you into violating your boundaries.

2) Most people are adopting either the "EFF it. It's the holidays" mentality or "Gotta stay on track at all costs" mentality. The holiday season spans from Oct 31 to Jan 2. That's a quarter of your year. Stay consistent with habits, and understand what moderation looks like.

1) You are about to be hard core sold/shamed/guilted/marketed on January 1st. This is peak time for gyms. You're going to have a barrage of ads trying to capitalize on your stress and feelings after the holidays. Make a mental plan now on how you are going to navigate this.

3) Drink a very large glass of water. I know coffee keeps us going, but hydrating can relieve stress, get rid of headaches, it's good for our skin, and keeps us moving well. I can't tell you how many days I've hit 1 or 2pm and realized I haven't drank any water yet. H20!

2) Move your body through a range of motion that is different than your every day. We get stuck in the same positions or doing the same repetitive movements and forget how good it feels to move our body differently. See a follow up post tomorrow for ideas 💡

3 things moms need to do today A thread 1) Take a few minutes to make a "done" list instead of a to do list. Include everything that you do on rote. I.e. laundry, dishes, diapers, clean up toys etc. You do so much every single day and you need to give yourself more credit.

Unpopular but evidence based opinion: If someone is bragging about getting back in the gym 2 weeks after a C-section... They are probably NOT a qualified postpartum fitness trainer and you shouldn't set unreasonable expectations for yourself because of them.
