A homeless man died at the door of Parliament today. He was employed as a kitchen assistant - but had to sleep rough in the middle of December. This is the kind of society the Tories have created. This is what we should be talking about in Parliament.

@JeremyVineOn5 I coach sport (outside of school) and over the years have had children think they were going to die because they got out of breath for the first time in their lives! They do this 1 mile run in my area and the children all say they enjoy it and are much much fitter too

What do you make of a scheme in Scotland that makes primary school children run or jog a mile every day at school? Yes, we have an obesity crisis but isn't forcing kids to run every day a sure-fire way of making them NOT want to do it? #jeremyvine

@JeremyVineOn5 Disruptive children need support and attention, they won't get it because this government ignores all issues regarding mental health. We will see more had more misunderstood children taking their own lives because they feel so alone. Ignoring them & the issue isn't going to help.

Is it okay to put kids in isolation at school? Some are putting disruptive pupils into silent rooms for up to nine hours a day. They're boxed in facing the wall - something the Children's Commissioner has called "distressing and degrading". What do you think? #jeremyvine

I cannot stop thinking about this tweet - I think it’s a really dangerous notion that we have the right to tell people that there is a correct way to aspire to live their lives. Below are a few points from a talk I did last year on the subject

@GMB I tell my baby what I'm about to do when we do anything that involves their body. "I'm going to change your nappy now/put your pjs on now" etc. It shows that I respect their body. And as for 'consent' my three month old smiles as I undo their nappy, I know they are happy with it

@5WrightStuff As a mother of two young children who I cannot leave alone in the car, pay at pump is my only option and as a one wage family we would generally not have the £99 in the account to cover this 'deposit'. As Jeremy pointed out would this leave us liable for bank charges?
