@coach_tack We give kids a two week window that they need to show their face once fall or winter sports ends. Most take 1 week, some take two. If they try before 1 week, they hold a clipboard

Did this every year I was a track coach. Mostly targeted kids that were fall and winter sport athletes though and now entering their 3 sport of the year. They weren’t allowed to attend practice for AT MINIMUM one week. They checked in and were told to go home and take a break.

@COACHJEDKENNEDY @pntrack Only way I think you have a try team with only having one meet is more division like AL. Having 7 divisions instead of 3-4 makes it take 100 plus points to win where less division take 48 plus to win

@pntrack I’ve always thought that’s a big injustice to teams that have done a great job of developing depth. Me & @CoachFortney have talked about this, I remember a team in Wisconsin that won state title with two girls. Did they the best track team or they have the best two girls?

I’m biased, but everyone should agree that Edwardsville is the track capital of Illinois. Since 2012, they have won 3 state titles and placed second 4 times. Yesterday, Edwardville won their conference meet by 45 points, beat IL #3 Belleville East by 52, and beat IL #4 Belleville West by 65 points. Yes, unranked Edwardsville dominated two of the top four teams in Illinois. (Also beat East St. Louis by 93.) Sometimes too much attention goes to the teams that have a couple phenoms, not the best TEAMS. Want to use Edwardsville as a template to improve your program? ⚡️Hire the best staff in the state and keep them together. ⚡️Dominate the technique events: hurdles, LJ, TJ, HJ, PV, DT, SP (requires a terrific staff). ⚡️Dominate at the F/S level. Edwardsville won JV conference this year by 75 points and has won 10 of the last 11. ⚡️Feature the best uniforms in the state. ⚡️First-class schedule: never attend bad meets and travel when possible. ⚡️Promote during meets on social media (@TrackEHS) Take great pictures. ⚡️Stay up-to-date on All-Time Lists (all levels) and School Records (all levels) ⚡️Try to have the best website in the state (ehstrack.wixsite.com/ehstrack) ⚡️4x1 Priority (past ten seasons, ranked #2 in IL; HF #1, PN #3). Speed is the tide that lifts all boats. ⚡️Dominate in XC (George Patrylak’s teams have won 10 of the last 11 conference titles). FEED THE CATS! ⚡️⚡️⚡️

For now, new XPE Game Speed Ap is hosted at xpe.athlete.training and is free. Won't be forever. But the price once released will shock everyone! I have been lucky to know how to get athletes fast for 25 years. But I have used the last decade learning GAME SPEED from them!
