The Decision
First, I want to thank God for giving me the opportunity to be in the position to make this decision. I know that no matter what happens or where I go, the one person who will always be there for me is God. I also want to thank Pastor Marvin for teaching me who God is and how much He loves me and will always be there for me.
Second, I want to thank my current coaches and former coaches who have always pushed me not only to be a great football player but, more importantly, a young man who is able to make big decisions like this. Specifically, I want to thank Coaches Mejia, Melton, Foster, Gess, Dallas, Arnold, and the one who started it all, Coach Lou.
Third, I want to thank the Hebron family. When I transferred to Hebron 3 1/2 years ago, I had no clue what God had in store for me. But what I did know is that I had a school and a team that welcomed me with open arms. Hebron has been the best experience of my life, getting to meet so many great people and getting to do so many great things.
Fourth, I want to thank my friends. I have a group of friends who push me every day to do what’s right and to be the best I can be. I want to thank the Steve family for feeding me and always letting me come over from a young age. Max and Gus have turned into brothers for me, and Yall will forever be family. To the rest—Callum, JJ, James,Luke—thank you for pushing me and believing in me.
Lastly, I want to thank my parents, Mom and Dad. I love you both. You never forced me to do anything and always supported me, no matter if the game was 3 hours away or Mom had to wake me up at 5 a.m. You did it, no questions asked. Many people wonder why I have grown to be so mature and such a good person. Well, if you know my parents, there’s no question why. God blessed me with the two greatest pillars in my life: a hard, loving, tough father to push me to be a man so one day I can push my son, and a compassionate, loving mother who has taught me to care about everybody and to serve the world not for myself but for God.
With all this being said, I will be committing to Wake Forest! GO DEACS!!!!
