A member of Head Coach Chris Collins' original staff 13 seasons ago, James played a pivotal role in the most successful era in program history.

This weekend I saw 4 of my former players, guys who played for me as a head coach. All were coaching their own teams.
Lamar Sanders, Anthony Miles, and Charlie Harper at Puma.

I’m so proud of all of them, wonderful men. They have great families, good people. And they were really good players. I love you guys and I’m so proud of you !

I hope every fan of the Houston Astros is now able to realize just how special of a human being Dusty Baker is and how BLESSED we were to have him lead our guys at that time…I genuinely have love in my heart for Dusty. He transcends the sport to me in a lot of ways.
