I have always had a soft spot for fake reverses as misdirection. A lot of that traces back to Ian Shields, now the Head Coach at Minot State, and one of the original triple option gurus. He put me on how valuable that action can be. The fake reverse is not window dressing. It changes pursuit angles, holds backside defenders, and forces the defense to honor the full width of the formation. Good misdirection does not need to trick everyone. It just needs to slow one disciplined player long enough to create leverage.
