Girls Lacrosse closed the regular season on a 12 game winning streak to finish 12-1 overall. Spartans also went unbeaten in conference play to capture the Metro West Conference Championship for the second consecutive season! Section play begins next week.

Softball rolls past Blake in the opening round of section play to advance in the winners bracket! Spartans will now host Westonka on Thursday at 4:30 PM. Special congrats to Gabby Kastamo and Ava Drake for combining to throw a perfect game in the postseason opener.

2026 Metro West Boys Golf Conference Champions! History made for the Spartans as Boys Golf captures the first conference championship in program history. Special congratulations to Ayden Frenz on earning individual medalist honors with a five-under round of 67 on the day.

Boys Golf put together a historic round at Braemar today, firing a new school-record 284! Kringen led the charge with a 6-under 66, while Falkum carded a 2-under 70.

Congrats to Gabe Hallen on setting a new school record in the 1600M with a time of 4:14.60 at the Hamline Elite Meet!

Mya Moore was recognized at today’s Athena Award Banquet alongside other outstanding recipients from across the metro. The Athena Award honors one female student-athlete from each school who has distinguished herself through special athletic achievement.

Girls Lacrosse picks up another win to move to 5–1 on the season. The Spartans, currently ranked No. 3 in state, welcome the reigning Wisconsin state champion Hudson Raiders to Pesonen Stadium on Thursday.

Girls Flag Football makes a statement to open their inaugural season, going 2-0 with wins over Minnetonka (39-35) and Hopkins (28-22). What a start for our Spartans 😤

Baseball walks off Westonka on a Flansburg two-run bomb in the bottom of the 7th to win it 4-3! Spartans move to 6-1 on the season.

Speech makes history as Section 2AA Champions! For the first time in program history, the Spartans claim a section title and are also sending 12 students to the State Tournament. Proud of this group and the way they continue to raise the bar. What a moment for Orono Speech!

Our public address announcer Mr. Buzard had some great help from youth players during today’s softball game vs Blake. Spartans rolled to a 15–0 win in 4 innings to improve to 4–1 on the season.

Prior to today’s Spartan Track & Field Invitational, Orono senior Carly Olson and junior Audrey Quale delivered a beautiful performance of the National Anthem. Well done!

Robotics had another great weekend of regional competition in St. Cloud! What a run for the Spartobots this season. Big time growth from last year and a reflection of the work put in all season. Even better, the team earned the Granite City Safety Award.
