I am writing this post to inform all Wing-t Coaches of the 2026 National Wing-t Team Camp dates. I believe that this year’s version will be better than last year. Many high school coaches believe that these camps are as important for your staff as they are for your players, since they are geared to develop Wing-t Coaches as much as they are to develop your players. The camps will be held on the following dates. We will hold our TEAM Camp at Trine University, Indiana, from WEDNESDAY June 10th through FRIDAY June 12th. We would also like to hold a team camp in Edinboro, PA. or somewhere in Western Pennsylvania, sometime in July. We are also looking to hold one more Commuter Camp. The 2026 National Wing-T/Defensive/Sports Performance was a huge success. This was the best turn-out for the clinic since before COVID. We would have had even more coaches attend if not for the huge winter Storm that hit the East Coast and the severe cold weather. We had one one of the best and most diverse Clinic staffs that we have ever gathered to teach at our clinic. We had 11 Wing-t Guru's that hit all of the Wing-T areas, plus 4 Defensive clinicians and four Sports performance Experts. There was a lot of knowledge that was shared. Most coaches I talked to told me that they prefer learning football in person. They do not like Zoom learning because it is hard to pay attention to a computer screen and they don't retain as much. Plus many of the coaches that attended also shared ideas with each other in the hospitality room. Next years National Wing-T Clinic will be held from, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 5TH, 2027 through SATURDAY FEBRUARY 6TH 2027. IT WILL AGAIN TAKE PLACE AT THE PITTSBURGH AIRPORT MARRIOTT.

Mike began his coaching career at Robert Morris where he worked under Scott Farison as a Defensive Assistant and primarily coached the Defensive Backs. From there he became the Defensive coordinator at Greensburg Central Catholic where his defense finished 2nd in PA in interceptions. Mike earned his first Head Football Coaching position at Hempfield where they had their first winning season since 2009. Following Hempfield Mike was hired as the Head Football coach at Norwin. This past fall Mike took Norwin to their first playoff appearance since 2009, their 1st Semifinal WPIAL appearance since 2009 and was named the 2025 WPIAL 6A coach of the year. Dan is a Physical Education Teacher and Head Football Coach at West Irondequoit High School in Rochester NY. Fichter is a member of both the Section Five Hall of Fame and the Brockport State Hall of Fame, and h as been a high school and college football coach for 20 plus years. In his tenure at WIHS as head coach in football, Fichter’s team has played in multiple Sectional Finals winning two titles, and he won six Sectional Championships in Track and Field at Irondequoit High School. Fichter owns a company called Wannagetfast, where he trains athletes from all over the country. He has trained hundreds of professional athletes in strength and speed from all over the globe in just about every sporting endeavor. Dan's passion is using neurology to immediately impact movement as it relates to sports performance. He has learned from some of the greatest minds in the clinical neurology and human performance world.
