When government thinks its best approach is to target Apple - have you ever supported a lawful access bill anywhere? - you know they’ve lost the plot. Opportunity for real questions about privacy risks for millions of Canadians under Bill C-22 lost with strange line of questions.

🚨 BREAKING: doctor assessed a man for MAID outside a Tim Hortons. He then personally drove him to an industrial building used to prepare bodies for funerals, where the man’s life was taken. That same doctor, in another case, forgot one of the three key drugs for MAID, left the home, and the patient started breathing again. His punishment: six months supervision. If you don’t know, the exemption for MAID for mental health expires next year. This means, if you suffer from mental health, you’ll be able to access MAID next year. The Liberals won’t repeal it. They keep kicking the can down the road, extending the MAID mental health exemption. What’s next? A drive-thru lineup for MAID right beside Tim Hortons. This is catastrophically insane.

Here is how wiretaps used to work in Canada. If the government believed you were doing something illegal they had to obtain a court order. If it was approved the wiretap started. When the court order ended the wiretap ended. The wiretap was never running by default. Bill C-22 changes that entirely. It forces every electronic service provider in Canada to save your metadata for up to one year. The wiretap is now running on every single Canadian all the time. They'll tell you not to worry because they still need a court order to access it. But that data should never exist in the first place. And don't give me the "I have nothing to hide" argument. You have the right to privacy whether you want it or not. Do you want government perverts looking through your windows 365 days a year just because you have nothing to hide? That's exactly what Bill C-22 does. And nobody is talking about it. Watch the full breakdown of how Bill C-22, Bill C-9 and Bill C-8 are all connected and what Palantir has to do with all of it 👇

Warning from Apple to Canada on Bill C-22 "As you know, this may be one of the last times we're permitted to discuss the consequences of this legislation publicly." "That's because of the bill's secrecy provisions which forbid companies like Apple from even discussing the orders we receive with our users or the public." @Apple

A Google exec warned Bill C-22 "goes beyond any regime that I'm familiar with" because it gives government broad secret powers without judicial oversight. Google says it was not consulted before the bill was tabled.

Apple leaves no doubt about the risk of Bill C-22 : "as drafted, this bill allows the Government of Canada to force companies to break encryption by inserting backdoors into their products, something Apple will never do."

Big Tech just voluntarily handed UK speech regulator Ofcom preview access to new features before they launch. Facebook, Instagram, Roblox, Snap & YouTube all agreed. TikTok refused. Meta is now rolling out AI to scan Instagram DMs under the premise of detecting “sexualized conversations," right after quietly killing E2EE. This is how free speech and privacy die: companies willingly building the surveillance state for the regulator. All for “safety.” reclaimthenet.org/facebook-insta…

Bill C-22 is being sold as a tool to fight crime, but its biggest targets are the privacy rights of ordinary Canadians. When Signal, Apple, Meta, Shopify, NordVPN, and civil liberties advocates are all sounding the alarm, Parliament should listen. Contact your MP and tell them to stop Bill C-22. junonews.com/p/carpay-bill-…

Look at the cast of characters pushing a “social media ban” AKA digital verification to get online And guess what? They've all independently arrived at the idea social media is "like smoking!" This isn’t about “clamping down on Big Tech” - it’s about clamping down ON YOU

The 4th Amendment was supposed to prevent a surveillance state. Yet we're surrounded by cameras, tracked by our phones, and surveilled without warrants. It's not working. Surveillanceaccountability.com

Notice how governments are now equating free speech with carcinogenic toxins…🥴 They’re nothing alike. Parents BUY smartphones for kids. It starts at home. Yes, children/we all need to touch grass more. We don’t need a “ban” aka turning websites into digital ID checkpoints.

Big Tech has learned from the Big Tobacco playbook. It’s extremely addictive, bad for our health, and causing real harm to our children. It’s time for action. theguardian.com/uk-news/2026/m…

CBC is using taxpayer money to defame Sir John A. Macdonald, deceive people for 'wrongthink', and shame women and men who've served Canada in the RCMP. Canadians shouldn't be on the hook for this unpatriotic propaganda.

A biophysics grad was just detained under BC's Mental Health Act. All based on a psychiatrist's opinion after observing him in a cafe. He looked at him & said “I’m certifying you” THAT’S ALL IT TOOK. No warrant. No on scene evaluation. No psych evaluation. No paperwork shown. No chance to comply voluntarily. Just because a psychiatrist saw him in a cafe. Meanwhile, the same city has a documented drug addicts, where one person, has been apprehended 79 times and is still on the street. The government can grab a credentialed researcher off the road in 20 minutes but it can't keep a chronic offender out of the same intersection for more than a week? What a joke.
