March’s Organic Produce of the Month: Sugar Snap Peas! 🫛 From the vine to the plate, organic sugar snap peas are the definition of a sustainable, zero-waste snack. Like other legumes, they partner with bacteria to enrich the soil with nitrogen—a great tool for organic farmers!

Yesterday at @PaicinesRanch, organic farmers, school food leaders & community partners gathered for a Crop Planning Working Session 🌱 Farmers finalized crop projections while districts gained clearer pathways to source fresh, local, organic food for students. 🤝🌿 #F2S

We had SO much fun hosting some of our incredible partner farmers and producers at @WCCUSD for an organic school lunch at Michelle Obama School in Richmond, CA 🥗🍎 What better way to kick off 2026 than introducing students to the very people growing their food?

Strawberries in January? 🍓✨ Yes! We recently visited Mimi's Organic Farm to taste the very first berries of the season. Seeing Marlen, Domitila, & Jesus on their new land, witnessing the pride, care, & joy behind this exciting new chapter for them, was such an honor. 💚

Immigrants built this country and continue to sustain it every day. Behind every meal we eat, item of clothing we wear, every road we travel, there is an immigrant to thank. Solidarity, today and every day. ✊🏽🌱

Everyone’s winter harvest looks a little different depending on climate and region, but wherever you are, eating seasonally and locally helps support farmers, reduce emissions, and reconnect with the rhythms of the land.

2025 was one for the books. Our hearts are full reflecting on a year of powerful impact made possible by farmers, food service leaders, & community partners who supported this work every step of the way. We can't wait for what’s ahead in 2026 – Happy New Year! 🌱
