In addition to being a huge waste of time initiated by Meta, the app store age verification bills keep running headlong into the First Amendment. Good ruling by the federal court - which protects every app user's privacy.

A federal court has blocked Texas SB 2420, the App Store Accountability Act, agreeing that it likely violates the #FirstAmendment. As CCIA’s Stephanie Joyce noted, the injunction protects the free speech rights of app stores, developers, parents, and young users, and preserves parents’ right to make their own choices using existing safety tools.
