Good Trouble shows the strong connection between the Black Civil Rights Movement in the United States & the Civil Rights Movement in the north of Ireland – specifically the influence of the Montgomery to Selma march on the 1969 Belfast to Derry march

Wear a lily this Easter!
The Easter Lily is a badge in the shape of a Calla Lily flower, worn at Easter in Ireland as a symbol of remembrance for Irish republican combatants who died during, or were executed after, the 1916 Easter Rising.

I wrote a piece for @VoiceSocialist about the false narrative of a rift in NATO. The EU powers are doing precisely what Trump and his team have asked them to - building strength through division of labour, so the US can focus it's energies on China.

Communist Party of Ireland outside Leinster House this evening.
The government is intent on dismantling the Triple Lock. In doing so, they will be reneging on commitments made to the people of Ireland during two referendums (Nice & Lisbon treaties).
A recent poll showed that 75% of Irish people support neutrality, a result that was reflected across all age-groups, regions and political parties, including Fianna Fáil and Fine Gael voters. This government has no mandate whatsoever to dismantle the Triple Lock. The Triple Lock is vital for preserving Ireland’s neutrality, a policy overwhelmingly supported by the people.
With the danger of war and militarism looming ever larger, the necessity for a clear, united, anti-war campaign is urgently needed. We need to defend and advance neutrality by enshrining it in the constitution, thereby placing the question in the hands of the people rather than opportunist politicians. Rather than spending on militarism, there should be an increase in social spend around areas such as health, education and housing.
