@Dinzee_1 Ahh yeah I can understand that. Actually finishing a model is very much a marathon where you usually get punished for any shortcuts which leads to a ton of projects never finish :D I have a big library of projects that never made it too so I get where you're coming from.
English

@CrunchyFrajs That’s why I still love the way you presented the toggles! Idk the video thing might just be me 🤷🏻♀️
But ye when I make a model I also do everything by hand usually drawing my own concept art story and 90% of the assets from scratch
Then dopamine runs out and I never finish
English

For the love of god yes! Use IN GAME PHOTOS
People don’t care what the avatar looks like in blender, they want to see what the avatar looks like in VRChat!!!
Blender renders as product images is legit lying to your customers BECAUSE IT DOESNT LOOK LIKE THAT IN GAME
XOTHIKA@XothikaVT
HOT TAKE: Stop using blender renders as the final product image for avatar assets and or avatars. Thank you. 🙂

Ahh I understand. I did use to do toggle videos in the past but it was barely watched by anyone at all, and if they were it wasnt watched for more than 20-30 sec at most so I tried adapting to that by showing off in other kinds of ways that didn't require people to watch a video. But I'll have to see what I do for the next one then. Good to know of what I could do better.
Also thank you so much for the compliment, I appreciate it a lot <3
I am currently cooking up 2 solid designs at the moment so it will be interesting to see how people will like them if I can finish them in 2026.
I do pretty much everything "by hand" so it all takes time to match what other people can offer, haha 😅

@Dinzee_1 Out of genuine curiosity, would this mean you would likely skip this avatar as it doesn't have a toggle video or did I cover that topic good enough in other ways on the page with pics and demonstrations? jinxxy.com/CrunchyFrajs/s…
English

@CrunchyFrajs 100% agree. Personally id i purchase an avatar it HAS to have a toggle video (so i can see what im buying) and renders and AI makes me just instantly skip the model…

@Dark__Wintrop FT and avatar skills can at best be an ice breaker to initially interact with someone but the best friends are those who enjoy you as a person.
I'd take 5 genuine friends any day over 50 who just want help/services or watch me make silly faces.

Pretty much.
It doesn't need to be optimized by VRC's metric of rating, alot of "very poor" avis run perfectly fine and don't really hinder performance any. But some people's avis have like multiple outfits with multiple bones, all one at once with none of them being disable when they outfit isn't on, same with hairs, or run multiple heavy scripts or assets on their avis. So yeah, it doesn't need to be hyper optimized, just set it up right so you don't lag others.
English

As long as its not laggy, it doesn't matter. Just because its a very poor doesn't meant it actually affects others too much. My personal avi (uncompressed) is nearing 400mb. Due to having loads of outfits and other stuff on it, yet it doesnt really case any form of frame dips for a majority. Though some people I've seen have avis around the 120-170mb range but they make every start dying due to just heavy systems and assets on them.
