Release Highlights: - Fix slow IBD caused by block window cache broken. - Upgraded Go version to 1.26.0 - Major cache and memory optimizations. - PebbleDB option changes. - Reduced GC (Garbage Collection) churn and improved memory usage. - Added per-script UTXO cache with thread-safe LRU caches. - Improved error handling and fixed several nil pointer and memory leak issues. - Enhanced logging, metrics, and RPC request reporting if using "HTND_PROFILER=1" environment variable. - Added a vote command to htnwallet, but it does not work yet because need to send notify to vote.hoosat.fi api and need API access from Namp88. - General performance improvements and bug fixes. - Respect GOMEMLIMIT and GOGC environment variables. This is from @grok: Yonatan Sompolinsky, known on X as @hashdag, first proposed the GHOST (Greedy Heaviest-Observed Sub-Tree) protocol to scale up Bitcoin's transaction processing in a research paper co-authored with Aviv Zohar. The paper, titled "Accelerating Bitcoin's Transaction Processing: Fast Money Grows on Trees, Not Chains," was submitted to the IACR ePrint archive in late 2013 (dated December 31, 2013, though some records list it as received January 1, 2014 due to timezone differences). It originated from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem in Israel, where both authors were affiliated. The protocol aimed to address Bitcoin's scalability limitations by allowing faster block creation and higher transaction throughput without compromising security, replacing the longest-chain rule with a heaviest-subtree approach to incorporate orphaned blocks. The full paper was later presented at the Financial Cryptography and Data Security (FC) conference on January 26-30, 2015, in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This marked a key early contribution to blockchain scaling discussions, influencing projects like Ethereum and later evolutions such as GHOSTDAG (proposed in a 2018 paper by Sompolinsky, Wyborski, and Zohar), which further generalized the concept for blockDAG structures in systems like Kaspa.

Thanks to our researcher Chargn, we now have initial GTX 1660 miner benchmark results. GTX 1660 Miner Benchmark : 21 hour A/B test (controlled) Two miners were run back-to-back on the same GTX 1660 for 21 hours each, on the same machine under consistent conditions. Results: Hoo_GPU: 535.0 kH → 121 blocks Hoominer: 371.7 kH → 85 blocks Interpretation (measured, not hype): ** In this run, Hoo_GPU delivered ~44% higher hashrate (535.0 vs 371.7 kH). ** Block counts can fluctuate based on pool/solo setup and variance, but in this 21-hour window both hashrate and blocks favored Hoo_GPU. As the $HTN (@HoosatNetwork) community grew and the project became increasingly community led, the need for a formal company structure diminished. As a result, Hoosat Oy (the registered Finnish company that launched $HTN) has decided to wind down operations and transition stewardship of the project to the community over time. To me, this is what decentralization looks like in practice: a network that can stand on its own, without relying on a company to represent it. A statement was made today: $HTN (@HoosatNetwork) will always be fair and decentralized. Acquire $HTN!

We are still very early, with a wide runway for growth. Short-term profit-taking at this stage slows momentum and reduces visibility, including the kind of attention larger CEXs look for when considering listings. This is a long-term play. Accumulate if you believe in it. Mine it. Hold it. Think beyond the next move.
