The stabbing of two Jewish men is horrifying. So too is the attack on a Muslim man the same day, ignored by much of our media. All human lives are equal — and we should oppose all hatred and violence wherever it appears. That’s how we build a safe & peaceful society for all.

The government knows our marches for Palestine are made up of all faiths and none. The are suppressing our hard-fought right to protest for one reason: to hide their complicity in genocide. Israel’s occupation must end. Until then, our movement for peace isn’t going anywhere.

According to Labour, questioning the use of excessive force by the policy is unacceptable. But apparently, supporting genocide in Israel by providing active assistance to the administration doing it is just fine.

Israel is a modern political state, established less than a century ago. It is not “the Jews.” Not Judaism. And not the essence of Jewish identity. Why is that so difficult for some to understand?
