Deana Sherif, a well-known pro-Hamas agitator, has been found guilty of breaching bail conditions and causing a disturbance. She was acquitted of obstructing police but still faces serious criminal charges stemming from an April 2024 incident. According to court records, Sherif is accused of assaulting a police officer, assault with a weapon, hate-motivated harassment, intimidation, and obstructing a peace officer—all of which will be addressed at her upcoming trial in early 2026. A sentencing hearing on her current convictions is scheduled for July 24, 2025. Notably, Sherif herself posted a montage of her increasingly aggressive behaviour at protests nearly a year before her first arrest. The evidence speaks for itself. Warning Very Long Personal/Professional Update: I have made the difficult decision to end my time in politics for now. I will not be continuing on with Mark Carney’s government or the Liberal party or taking part in the next general election.
