A group of DCNR Environmental Educators recently completed a Fly-Fishing Skills Instructors Course led by @pafishandboat at Sinnemahoning State Park. Staff learned the technical skills needed to offer a fly-fishing program at their respective state parks and forest districts. 🐟

The Northcentral Regional ATV Trail is now open  for the season! The trail features more than 1,000 miles of connected roads and trails across Clinton, Lycoming, Potter, and Tioga counties. A valid permit is required to access the trail. Learn more: pa.gov/agencies/dcnr/…

Planning a visit to a state park or forest during a hunting season? Stick to marked trails and open recreation areas. Hunting is not allowed in safety zones near playgrounds, picnic areas, or parking lots. Park maps can help you spot designated hunting areas before you head out.

DCNR's Bureau of Forestry, among others, recently hosted a Project Learning Tree "Thinking Outside the Box about Green Jobs" workshop in Columbia, PA, giving educators hands-on activities and a facility tour to explore careers in sustainable forestry and packaging.
