@SamRaimiUpdates Why, in these situations in modern movies, does the character doing the confronting never pull out their phone at the end of the scene and say, “Gotcha!,” and evidently some livestream or call to law enforcement has been running the whole time. Is there any reason not to?

@DWLundberg I dearly want the 90’s/2000’s era of teaser trailers back. The name’s stuck around but the form hasn’t. Now it’s just the first trailer of the film as opposed to something that gives you maybe one piece of the puzzle, as opposed to an entire synopsis.

The TWISTER teaser is one of my favorites from the '90s. Threadbare, giving you flashes of a family under threat, with a thundering sound design that only hints at the monster outside, and a great final "money shot" that was the proof of concept for Spielberg's original pitch.

@LOTR_Daily_ The fact is that a 300-page, stand-alone, episodic children’s book was turned into a 500-minute trilogy filled with useless characters, trite LOTR references, and overabundant CGI. I still enjoy revisiting them now and then, but it’s not hard to see why they would be disliked.

Robert Duvall gave many great and memorable performances, but his turn as Great Uncle Hub in “Secondhand Lions” will always be my favorite. Not as celebrated, but certainly an impactful, inspirational role that’s stuck with me throughout the years. Rest in peace. #RobertDuvall

Offering #SpiderNoir in color is a HORRIBLE idea. So many people my age (~25) refuse to watch any film or show not in color for that one reason. Allowing them the option to enjoy A NOIR(!) by putting it in color is only reinforcing their bias. Stop descending to their level!

@Behr06 NWH will never not look like it was produced during COVID. If you care about filmmaking craft, there’s no way it’s Top #3. Two of the five villains couldn’t appear in the flesh. When they did, the film just reused shots from the previous movies and gave them a makeover.

@TheCinesthetic Gonna have to disagree. The John-Holly relationship was so critical to the original that for McTiernan to come back and split them up — what a lot of lesser sequels do — seemingly because “there’s nowhere to go” is such a cheap set-up.
