The majority of patients still don't agree with resident doctors' strike action. The latest YouGov poll finds that a growing number of people are against the BMA's decision to choose industrial action.

This week some NHS services will be affected because of resident doctor strike action. Other NHS staff are working hard to keep you safe, so please continue to come forward for the care you need.

A @YouGov polls finds the majority of people are against strikes. Resident doctors would have found themselves 35.2% better off than four years ago, had the BMA accepted our offer.

We offered to bring forward 1,000 specialty training places for resident doctors. The BMA rejected this. It's now impossible to get those places live in time for this year. This doesn't mean fewer doctors. Resident doctors will still be in post, treating patients.

From 7am Tuesday 7 April, until 7am Monday 13 April, some NHS services will be affected because of resident doctor strike action. Other NHS staff are working hard to keep you safe, so please continue to come forward for the care you need.
