@Mal3k1th It’s pretty simple: The premise that AI would use humans as batteries (and not find some other power source) and go through the trouble of creating a simulated reality just to keep them controlled is so idiotic that it makes my brain hurt.

I was there. I saw it in a theater and hated every minute. I still hate this movie to this day.

@Coulrofurbia_C Yes. I even rewatch the entire trilogy every five years or so to check if I’m missing anything or was too dumb to get it. Nope. It sucks. The premise is horrible and the acting is horrible and the story arc is horrible. It’s horrible on every level.

@daniel_graves I agree. The tragic thing is that an online gallery (Deviantart) is now promoting AI. It used to be a community for amateur artists, now you open the home page is AI slop after AI slop...

What AI “artists” fail to realize is that art isn’t about the end result. Art is about the process. It’s about the journey, not the destination.

@leoalexart I have no issue with people playing with it or even using it for stuff like creating mood boards or brainstorming… I just take issue when people try to call AI output “art”.

@daniel_graves Yes! But it can be cool for unskilled people to see whatever their imagination had going. But it's a computer made visualization, not art.

@FRONZ1LLA There’s a place for both. I understand the motivation for and even the utility of politically motivated art, but that doesn’t mean that every artist or every work needs to have an agenda. Personally, in my darkest times I prefer the easiest art.
