Danimer Scientific’s Dr. Matthew Hilliard, Commercial Demonstration Plant Manager, met with 9th-12th graders at Thomasville High School’s career fair last week. During the fair, Dr. Hilliard exhibited how Danimer Scientific is revolutionizing the plastics industry by bringing innovative biopolymer solutions to everyday items including straws, cups, food packaging, etc. Dr. Hilliard also engaged with students and discussed potential upcoming internship and career opportunities at Danimer Scientific as we seek to inspire the next generation of biotechnologists to make a worldwide difference right here in Southwest Georgia. Danimer teammates across our sites have been excited to give back to their local communities this holiday season! Teammates from our Athens, GA location had the opportunity to volunteer at the Food Bank of Northeast Georgia earlier this week, and our Bainbridge, GA and Winchester, KY facilities supported local families by holding donation drives for the Salvation Army's Angel Tree program and the Clark County Family Resource and Youth Service Center, respectively 🎄

Danimer Scientific has received a $1.36 million award from the U.S. Department of Defense via the Distributed Bioindustrial Manufacturing Program (DBIMP) to develop plans for a facility to produce biobased polyols that can be converted into high-performance coatings for ships, marine vessels, and steel piping.
