“As a nurse, I encounter structural racism every day" Donna Kinnair on #bbcqt. Her full title is Professor Dame Donna Kinnair, but this was missed out of her name tag. Hugh Pennington’s title - Professor - was not missed out.

It’s all happening in Nottingham. Somebody rang the fire brigade to report a pigeon stuck behind some netting on a ledge at the council house. Two crews were sent to rescue it…

After Syed was chosen to be on a Heathrow Airport welcome poster, online trolls abused him. So he invited some of them to meet him in person. This is what happened:

“I’ve been told by some ‘we should be more Labour.’ That doesn’t mean be more Green or more Reform,” argues Shabana Mahmood. She is hitting back at those within her party who believe ministers should stop focusing on migration, in the wake of the Gorton and Denton byelection.

The BBC is under fire for not editing out a racial slur and swearing by a man with Tourette's syndrome from its broadcast of last night's Baftas. It has apologised for any offence caused but offered no explanation. The broadcaster did, however, edit out an award winner's 'Free Palestine' comment from his speech.

The BBC has apologised after an 'unedited' racist outburst was broadcast during the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs). Tourette’s campaigner John Davidson, shouted N**g*r at actors Michael B. Jordan and Delroy Lindo while they were presenting on stage. Despite a two-hour delay before airing, the moment wasn’t censored in the UK or in the US broadcast. A BBC spokesperson issued an apology for the incident saying: “Some viewers may have heard strong and offensive language during the Bafta Film Awards 2026. This arose from involuntary verbal tics associated with Tourette’s syndrome, and was not intentional. We apologise for any offence caused by the language heard.” ________ What do you think of this incident? Is an apology acceptable?
