@DashingDavidYT It's very obvious the original was to have a synergy between the remake the series and Dawntrail except things got delayed. So yeah it's tied.
If anything the fact the cartoon is still there is a strong indicator the remake is still a thing. Some of you just want it to be dead

Idk how someone could correlate the FF9 animated series to FF9 Remake, especially at this point. For one the former predates the other. And they have no relation anyways besides same IP.
Completely different things & situations. Plus the 9R ship has sailed at this point.

There's a chance that the FF9 Remake will still happen. Correct me if I'm wrong but is the Animated FF9 series a sequel to the game? If so, why would they release the animated series of an unfamiliar FF series to the casual audience without any prior knowledge or starting point for them to invest in the animated series?
I could be wrong but that is a waste of money to approach it that way.
