Dear Hunter, Word has reached the Palouse that you have issued a formal complaint over the unbearable burden of playing a football game at night followed by another game six days later. The entire nation surely pauses in sympathy for such hardship inside the warm and well-fed walls of the SEC. Meanwhile, Washington State just last year waged war in three games crossing three time zones for kickoff scraps handed out by television executives, arriving home at sunrise only to do it all again the next week. We survived conference collapse, endless travel, and television networks carving up college football like railroad tycoons dividing territory — all without releasing public statements because bedtime came too late. And we too face a Sunday game followed by an early Saturday morning game, both on the road to open the season. We do not complain. We do not make excuses. We merely pray for those who dare stand in our way. You speak passionately about player welfare, yet your conference has happily shoveled mountains of television money into its pockets while the rest of college football burned around it. It is a curious thing to suddenly discover morality once the unfavorable kickoff lands in your own backyard. Out here in Pullman, we simply call that a road trip. We do not pick the time of battle. But we will wage hell no matter the time of day or lack of rest. Still, we wish your troops strength and courage during these difficult evening hours in Utah. May the lanterns burn bright enough to guide them safely home. Sincerely concerned, — General Kirby Moore

MacArthur Park Update: Christopher Barret Johnson, a 42-year-old Culver City resident who works for the nonprofit People Assisting the Homeless (PATH), which distributes syringes to drug users at L.A.’s MacArthur Park and elsewhere, was arrested today on a federal criminal complaint charging him with possession with intent to distribute fentanyl. On May 5, law enforcement pulled Johnson over near MacArthur Park after he abruptly made a U-turn in front of them in his BMW. LAPD officers saw methamphetamine in a plastic baggie in plain view in Johnson’s car. Additional searches of Johnson’s person and his BMW resulted in the seizure of at least 142 grams of fentanyl and nearly 46 grams of methamphetamine. If convicted, Johnson faces a mandatory minimum sentence of five years in federal prison and a maximum of 40 years. His initial appearance is expected tomorrow afternoon at the Roybal Federal Building in DTLA. Residents and businesses in MacArthur Park and elsewhere have long complained about the wisdom of distributing syringes to homeless drug addicts where law-abiding citizens live and work. They call these policies “harm reduction.” I consider them “harm enabling.” Giving drug-addicted users needles to shoot up meth and fentanyl is never a good idea.

What will it take for everyone to take a stand?
BanksyCat@Banksycat

A foreign billionaire just did the job the entire British press wouldn't. @elonmusk asked the question every newsroom in this country should have been screaming for months. Who are the officers that handcuffed a dying boy and let him bleed out in the street? Who are they, and why are they still in a job? Not the BBC. Not Sky. Not GB News. A bloke in Texas with no stake in this country. They had the story. They let it die. He picked it back up, called it unconscionable, and offered to fund a wrongful death lawsuit. The answer to his question? Silence. Still. This is Henry Nowak. First year student. Walking home from a night out with his football team. A wounded teenager telling officers he couldn't breathe, and the response was handcuffs, not an ambulance. A boy dies like this on a British street and it should never have left the front page. It should have been the reckoning that didn't stop until someone answered for it. Instead it took a man who owes us nothing to drag it back into the light. Not one officer named. Not one suspended. The watchdog is investigating now, and only now, because the pressure came from a website and not a single news desk in this country. Ordinary people never needed permission to care. They raised over £40,000 for Henry at a charity football match in his memory. That is the Britain that still has a pulse. The one that doesn't wait to be told who's allowed to matter. When the richest man on earth has to do your journalism for you, what exactly is the British press for? So let me ask you the question they wouldn't. Did you see Henry's name on the news? Or did you have to find it here? Henry Nowak. 18 years old. Walking home. He should have made it.

HOLY SH*T. The man who invaded the female locker room at @PlanetFitness has reportedly been identified as Christopher Beaulieu, a REGISTERED CHILD SEX OFFENDER. Christopher was previously convicted of felonious s*xual assault of a MINOR. After gymgoer Judy Walcott reported his presence in the female locker room to staff, Planet Fitness CANCELED her membership due to "transphobia." Any comment @PlanetFitness?

The main stream news is failing to do their job, so here is the bigger picture on this story out of NH. The man pretending to be a woman hanging out in women and children's private spaces is Christopher Beaulieu. He was previously convicted of felonious sexual assault (victim was a minor). So the thing they say never happens is absolutely happening. He also hangs out at Chuck E Cheese in Manchester. Judy Walcott was getting ready to use the bathroom in the women’s locker room at the Concord Planet Fitness when she saw Christopher hanging up belongings outside a shower. Understandably she was very uncomfortable and scared (I know this feeling because men use our restrooms in the State House too), so she went to the front desk and reported it. The employees ignored it. A few days later, she reported it to another employee who called her “transphobic” and told her to quit if she didn’t like it. A few hours later, the assistant manager called her and canceled the membership. They forged her signature on the cancelation too. This smells like a lawsuit waiting to happen. So a woman was punished for being frightened in her private space, and the man is still hanging out freely in there. @KellyAyotte help! @libsoftiktok

On January 6th I followed the crowd into the Capitol and shouted. Police stood by the whole time, hanging out with us and sometimes directing us places. At one point near the House Chambers I was walking downstairs when a trio of some special section, secret service looking men started pointing guns in my direction. Confused and annoyed, I walked the other way and when I saw a normal police officer asked him why they were doing that. He informed me a protestor (Ashli Babbit) had been killed, and advised me to leave the building. I walked towards the exit and after a short rest on the bench I left. I harmed nobody and damaged no property that day and complied with all police orders. What I received for that was a pre-dawn raid at my parents house, where my 1 month post-partum wife and I were staying, on Biden's first day in office. His DOJ had signed the order to arrest me 3 hours after his inauguration. In the subsequent weeks I received death threats online and harassing phone calls, something that would be ongoing for the next few years. I was banned from Meta and Paypal. My wife and I were both debanked by PNC and banned from Airbnb. My wife was detained at the airport for hours with our newborn daughter. I was charged with 4 misdemeanors and the 1512 unconstitutional felony. The government offered to drop the misdemeanors if I pled to the felony. The felony was a lie, so I refused and went to trial. At trial the prosecution for 2 days straight was allowed to show footage to the jury of things that occurred around the Capitol I wasn't present for "for context." When we asked to put forward footage that contradicted the prosecution's "context" we were not allowed. They could show what they wanted, we could not. Police officers were then put on the stand for the next 2 days who cried about their experiences. I had no idea who they were. They admitted they never saw me or interacted with me. Nevertheless like every other J6er, I lost, and was sentenced to 4 years and $22k in fines and restitution. Yet even after the Supreme Court overturned the felony, the judge would not let me out until my misdemeanor sentences of a year were maxed out. Because she can't count she actually kept me in longer - to the extent she intervened at the last minute to make the prison release me on a Sunday, something that is against BOP rules. My family sat outside the prison gates the Friday before practically the whole day waiting in vain because of this pettiness. But the government wasn't satisfied with their pound of flesh: after my release they took me back in for resentencing, to attempt to have me resentenced after the fact to my misdemeanors consecutively, so I'd be taken from my family again and have another 1.5 years behind bars. This time I won, as they had no legal precedent and it skirted on violating double jeopardy since I had served my full prison time. Even still, it cast a cloud over the holidays and cost me another 20k my family couldn't afford. People ask whether prison was bad, and yeah of course prison sucked. It was a hard and violent place. I was present for a stabbing, and was lucky to avoid two fights and a race war. But dealing with Biden's DOJ and the DC Judiciary was the real trauma - they would grind down your spirit by weaponizing the legal system and use the endless procedure to bankrupt you. I had nightmares for months after release that I had somehow been hit with new charges. By the time I was pardoned by President Trump, I had spent literally every single day of Biden's presidency either in prison or under some form of supervision. I had incurred over $300k in legal fees and over $1 million in lost business. It was a reign of terror, and yet it was a mere foreshadowing of what they had planned for anyone else who opposed them under Kamala. The country should never forget it.

Scientists at Texas A&M University have developed a promising nasal spray that may help reverse cognitive decline associated with aging by targeting chronic brain inflammation. The treatment uses extracellular vesicles (EVs) derived from human neural stem cells, delivered directly to the brain through the nasal route. In preclinical studies with aged mice, just two doses administered two weeks apart significantly reduced neuroinflammaging, the chronic low-grade inflammation linked to brain fog, memory loss, and increased risk of Alzheimer’s disease. The spray suppressed inflammatory pathways (including NLRP3 inflammasome and cGAS-STING signaling), restored mitochondrial function in brain cells, and led to notable improvements in memory and cognitive performance. These benefits were observed in both male and female mice and lasted for several months. This non-invasive approach offers a potential alternative to more invasive therapies. The research team has filed a U.S. patent and hopes the findings will pave the way for future clinical applications in treating age-related cognitive decline, dementia, and possibly stroke recovery.
