@AlanLevinovitz I still think of him every time it happens that I have a linguistic question, and I have to end up googling.

Unless we get the Strait of Hormuz open, everything else is just bullshit. And don’t expect China to help out. They love seeing us suffer the folly of our own making.

I've always thought it's one of the biggest medical scandals of the new millenium, not just the current century.
Adam@ABrokenBattery

Today is #MEAwarenessDay ME/CFS is often described as neglected and under-researched. That ignores the true history. George Monbiot and Carol Monaghan have described it as one of the greatest medical scandals of the 21st century. They’re right.

We Need Your Help Imagine starving to death and being allergic to all food.  And everyday trying to decide between starvation and a deathly allergic reaction.  ME/CFS is like an allergy to energy expenditure.  Imagine everyday trying to decide between doing something that makes you feel alive or deathly sickness.  The more you do, the less alive you feel.  And the less you do, the less alive you feel.  And the more you do, the less you are physically capable of doing.  That is ME/CFS.  Everyday.  For decades.   But if you don’t have ME/CFS, and are not allergic to life itself, you could decide right now to help us.  And it won’t cost you anything but an extra work day, or one less toy or luxury, or some other small sacrifice in an otherwise life full of blessings and opportunity.  Which I would not want to take away for a second.  But a small sacrifice from you would go a long way towards helping people living in absolute hell.   Go here to donate to ME/CFS research:  whitneydafoe.com/donate Learn more about ME/CFS here: whitneydafoe.com/mecfs/whatisme… ================= ================= #mecfs #mecfsawarenessday #mecfsawarenessday2026 #chronicillness #pwME #spoonie

Definitely a worthwhile effort!!!
Long Covid Advocacy 💙@LongCovidAdvoc

@rcpsych @subodhdave1 Our key concern is the platforming of speakers Paul Garner, Trudie Chalder & Alan Carson at the RPsych International Congress, given their long-standing association with psychiatric-led psychosocial frameworks of ME & now Long Covid.

@neoavatara If Iran abandons its nuclear program, abandons its support for proxies, stops bullying its neighbors, halts its domestic repression, and opens The Strait I will call it a win, a big one.

I'm one of millions missing from our lives due to Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, each with their own challenges and losses. Unlike Covid lockdowns, the lockdowns we have dealt with for years due to ME continue #May12 #MEcfs

@seanspicer @MeetThePress And your idea of "balance" is to lie to the entire world about the number of people at Trump's inauguration. You have no public credibility to have an opinion about anything at all.

I can’t stop crying about the loss of James Strazza.  James was was a rare sensitive soul who felt this world deeply.  He felt it and then, with rare talent, created poems and words and music that communicated profound meaning about what it is to be human.  Humanity needed James.

More than 18,000 people have seen this post!! That's a lot! So far, Berkeley's crowdfunder for Trial By Error, my project pushing back against problematic research into ME, ME/CFS, Long COVID, etc, has received 629 donations. Here's the link: crowdfund.berkeley.edu/project/49720l

A Lancet journal, eClinicalMedicine, published a flawed. meta-analysis that promoted exercise interventions for Long COVID. The journal has published my letter rebutting this claim: virology.ws/2026/04/23/tri…

@AlanLevinovitz Alan, has it been adequately demonstrated that there is, in fact, human intelligence??

seems to me that the way AI will exceed human intelligence isn't by increasing its capacity, but by decreasing ours

Harvard, apparently, is about to adopt a new policy to combat grade inflation. I devised my own anti–grade inflation policy 25 years ago. I’ve shared it with provosts and deans, to no avail. Here it is: The Muñoz Plan Against Grade Inflation The plan has three key components:
