It’s not just the ABA.  Many state bar associations, including the Missouri Bar, have veered into overtly left-leaning advocacy, using mandatory dues to advance positions including DEI.   A significant portion of their members do not support these left-wing positions, which raises serious concerns about compelled speech and fairness. It’s time for reform: separate the regulatory function—attorney licensing and discipline—from all other activities. A streamlined, accountable regulatory body should handle oversight, while a voluntary association can focus on member services, advocacy, and professional community. No attorney should be forced to fund ideological positions as a condition of practicing law. A bifurcated system restores balance, protects individual freedom, and refocuses the profession on its core mission.

Great to be in Springfield with community leaders to celebrate the birthplace of Route 66. This wasn’t just a kickoff for centennial celebration of Route 66 but was the kickoff for what may be the biggest tourism season in Missouri history. With the FIFA World Cup coming to the region and the America 250 celebration ahead, all eyes are on our state.

We have plenty of qualified Missourians. H1-B program is corrupt. I am going to check into this.
