#OTD in 1917, during the #FWW, the Canadian Corps secured Hill 70. Earlier that summer, the Canadians had received orders to seize the German-occupied city of Lens, France. They planned to take Hill 70, which dominated the city and could give them strategic positioning. 1/5

Late start, wet conditions, big rain in forecast but #Plant23 finally began today. Seeding spring wheat into canola stubble. Normally peas go 1st but it’s about searching for the driest field so our 4 different crops will be seeded in that order & some unseeded acres @GerryHertz
