London’s Jewish community has endured shameful antisemitic attacks. Despite the fear & anxiety the community came together for Shabbat at Finchley Reform Synagogue joined in solidarity by members of the Somali Bravenese community. That is the London I believe in. Hate won't win.

London: the V&A East Museum opens this weekend - and it's amazing. Backed by City Hall funding, this major new addition to East Bank strengthens our city as a world-leading cultural capital while generating millions for our economy and creating jobs and opportunities.

Romani communities have long shaped the fabric of London. On #InternationalRomaniDay, we honour their many contributions to our city. We also recognise the ongoing need to challenge discrimination against Romani communities & stand together for dignity, respect & justice for all.

Wishing Christian communities a blessed and peaceful Easter. This is a significant time of year grounded in the meaning of sacrifice and renewal. It reflects the enduring power of hope, the promise of new life and the importance of coming together in faith and reflection.

We are building a network of remembrance that centres the voices of the enslaved. And we’re calling on community groups to nominate a Site of Memory to help map and recognise local historical connections to the slave trade. london.gov.uk/programmes-str…

This week we marked the International Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Remembrance is more than a look back, it is a commitment to confront the truth of our past and the systemic legacies that still shape our city today.

The Jewish community is our community - in London, people of all faiths and none should be able to live peacefully alongside each other. I was humbled to visit Hatzola ambulance service today. We stand together against antisemitic hatred - we’ll always reject those who seek to divide us.

Hatzola has provided vital support to all communities across London for decades. Good to be back and spend time with inspirational Jewish staff and volunteers. Yesterday’s awful antisemitic attack was an attack on us all. Those who seek to divide us will not win.

The @tweetWLS Interfaith Sedar was a vital reminder that division will never win. Following the antisemitic attack in Golders Green, it was deeply meaningful to join people across faiths & backgrounds to reflect on the meaning of Passover - a story of freedom, hope & resilience.

This is a cowardly attack on the Jewish community. I am in close contact with the police who are stepping up patrols in the area, and I urge anyone with information to come forward. Londoners will never be cowed by this kind of hatred and intimidation.
