@mrbartonmaths Hi Craig, I see you've updated your website, is it still possible to access your Topics page with diagnostic questions on, worksheets and rich tasks etc or have these been split up now? I used them all the time!

I'd be really interested to hear how schools use @DrFrostMaths or @mrbartonmaths ' Eedi in schools, especially those without devices. I like both of them a lot but haven't used them yet with pupils. If anybody is using either of them successfully, please let me know.

@l88belle @mathsjem @Just_Maths not this: A woman has three daughters. She wants to divide her land fairly, giving each daughter a square plot. The plots must all be connected, and the total land must form a right-angled triangle when combined, using the squares.

Lots of pupils cheat on @SparxMaths using AI, it's pretty easy to identify if you look. Honest conversations, giving them questions in person to do that they got correct and not stipulating that they MUST get 100% seems to help..

@hartmaths A tiered detention system for h/wThis usually flags up the issue with parents . We have repeat offenders where there is little or no support and encouragement from home. We put them on a homework report( not much impact in my humble opinion). We do offer lunchtime homework club

Ban mobile phones in schools. Gate to gate, first bell to last. Successful options include: 1. Complete physical ban 2. Turned off, never visible 3. Handed in (office, pouches, teacher desk) All of these need exceptions for exceptional circumstances. All of these need to be systematic, whole-school and patrolled, with consequences. It’s not easy but it’s not complex either. And the benefits are enormous. Especially weighed against the harms. I hear people saying ‘this is too hard to do’. Which is news to the hundreds of schools I’ve seen do this successfully. And you know what? They never regret it. Not one of them would reverse the policy.
