The UG–Arusha Connect tourism initiative has kicked off with a Tanzanian delegation arriving in Uganda for an 11-day familiarization (FAM) trip ahead of POATE 2026. The visitors will tour major attractions including Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park, the Kazinga Channel, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, alongside cultural experiences in Kampala. The visit aims to strengthen tourism ties between Uganda and Tanzania and promote regional travel ahead of the Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE 2026).
