Understand what is being said here. Understand that when he says "communist," he's not talking about the "stateless, classless..." Form discussed in college classrooms. He's accusing everyone in the democratic party of being the same people that created Stalin, Pol Pot, and Mao. And many "centrists" will happily accept this narrative while damn near worshiping a right winger when they get accused of being racist or a Nazi. So remember when they are trying to pretend like calling you "woke" they are not calling you something small. They are accusing you of treason, they are labeling you the enemy, and they are doing everything possible to justify the government harming you. That is why they see themselves as "less violent," because they don't see state violence as unacceptable.
Jesse Kelly@JesseKellyDC

Communists are demonic and violent. Democrats are communists. No rhetoric will change or be “toned down.” That has never happened one time in the history of communism. Toning them down is utterly destroying their institutions. All else is cope.

@FoxNews Xi dangled a couple of trade deals and pageantry in front of you and you somehow flat out ignored that Xi told you that he's taking Taiwan and the South China sea and there's nothing Trump can do about it.

JUST IN: President Trump touts a "historic" visit to China, announcing a massive deal for Boeing and General Electric that includes hundreds of aircraft and engines. The President praised President Xi as an "incredible guy," noting that the trade agreements could ultimately result in the largest order in history. "We've got a long made a lot of great trade deals, including over 200 planes for Boeing with a promise of 750 planes, which will be by far the largest order ever. If they do a good job with the 200, which I'm sure they will. And that's General Electric also the engines."

Do you think that this China is anywhere near close to the same China that fought us during the Korean War? And let's be honest about the result of that war. It ended in a stalemate. So if fighting a China literally recovering from Japanese invasion to a stalemate it doesn't look good when talking about a country that is just as advanced as we are (if not more) has a population of 1.4 billion and has millions of single young men that have nothing better to do.

@MardesK44154 @Ruthmmesomaa @mitchellvii It's also very pertinent to point out that China has been transferring its economy into a system capable of moving into a wartime economy far quicker than the United States can.

Every time someone makes an argument like the one you are making now you are telling on yourself. No one is seriously saying that the only person that can properly represent them has to be the same skin color. They are saying that destroying their district and melding them into districts that are actively opposing them is more likely to create candidates that will work against their interests.

Liberals love pretending that black people's power is being taken away but when they had the chance to vote for a black woman for Governor of Virginia, they chose the old white Democrat lady instead. And Obama told them to do it. They are the oppressors.

@RockChartrand So I have to ask the obvious question, What makes a country "communist," and what makes a country "capitalist"? Is it simply saying that you are that thing and not looking at history, politics, or circumstances

She's right to tell people not to take Xi's word but where you are wrong is in the assumption that Xi is not moving from a position of strength. Xi is recognizing the absolute deterioration of the US on the world stage and the uncertainty of its allies. (See the recent negotiations with the Philippines) and has basically told Trump that Trump's position is too weak to stop them if they move on their own interests. (Taiwan, South China Sea, Belt and Road expansion) If you haven't been paying attention to the movements China has made in the last 30+ years every step is designed to permit China to be able to shift into a rapid wartime economy. The United States did the exact opposite where it created an economy that cannot shift to a wartime economy nearly as quickly and the people do not have the stomach for any major conflict that isn't directly threatening the US.

I waffle between "these people can't possibly be this dumb" and "holy shit, they really are catastrophically stupid". I've never met any of them, I think that's the only way to tell. Maybe this guy is dumb as a post if he's never heard of Thucydides Trap. Jebus...he sounds like Kamala talking about Russia/Ukraine.

Notice the flip flop here. In 2015, Xi said that "there's no such thing as the so-called Thucydides Trap in the World" and now? Xi just sat across from Donald Trump in the Great Hall of the People and asks whether the two powers can “overcome the Thucydides Trap” and “forge a new paradigm” for great-power relations. Funny! Because a decade ago, he used the phrase "so-called" to describe it and outright denied that it was an applicable concept. So why the change of tone you ask? This is what you'd call a tell, an involuntary admission that Beijing’s position has deteriorated sharply since 2015. Back then, China was at the height of the post-financial crisis boom. Beijing was surging with double digit growth (on paper), the Belt and Road Initiative was rolling out to great fanfare, island building in the South China Sea was barely met with any Western response (thanks Obama), and the American president was still preaching “strategic patience.” Today, in 2026, the material reality has flipped. China’s much-hyped “century of rejuvenation” has slammed into structural headwinds that no amount of state media spin can hide - a demographic death spiral, a property sector collapse that wiped out trillions in household wealth, local government debt bombs lurking on the books, and a tech ecosystem increasingly isolated by US export controls and friend-shoring. The GDP overtake narrative that once enthralled the elites at Davos has quietly died; projections now show America pulling further ahead in nominal terms. Xi’s “China Dream” is at best delayed and at worst, never materializing. Trump 2.0 brought tariffs back on the table, hardened alliances with Japan and the Philippines, accelerated arms sales to Taiwan, and an American public finally awake to the CCP’s game. Knowing that China requires continued access to Western markets, capital, and technology to avoid stagnation at home, Xi now does a U-Turn and reaches for the historical analogy he once dismissed. Basically when you’re strong, you deny any threat exists hoping to lull the bigger power into complacency. When your power and strength wanes, warn that resistance will produce the very conflict you claim to fear. Xi is essentially saying to America, "don't contain us, don’t push back too hard, or you’ll be the paranoid Sparta that started the war against Athens.” It's actually a veiled threat to keep the one-way transfer of power and wealth open, OR ELSE. This 180 deg shift proves that the balance is tilting back toward American strength. The correct US response is to reject the premise entirely, and continue to maintain unrelenting pressure on every front and force Xi to choose between genuine reform at home or managed decline on Beijing’s terms. Xi’s sudden invocation of the Thucydides Trap - something he used to dismiss - simply confirms that the pressure worked. Americans should take this as a sign that their country is not in decline, despite the insane amount of propaganda now also being touted by American influencers and podcasters.
The Spectator Index@spectatorindex

Xi Jinping asked Trump if the United States and China can avoid the 'Thucydides Trap', a theory that suggests high likelihood of war between rising and established powers, during their summit.

For the Marxist Democrats, tax the billionaires is an excuse for destroying the middle class.  Their jobs and private property.  Affordability means being taxed out of your home and community.

See how quickly wealth taxes on the rich ratchet down…from $5 million homes to $1 million homes in just a few weeks: “For the first two years, a tax of between 4% to 6.5% would apply to apartments with a so-called market value of $1 million or more.” wsj.com/us-news/n-y-go…

I didn't know anything about environmental law, I assume in your response that you at least knew the basics. Okay so in order to counter the effects of cancer alley you would have to implement a neighborhood wide rezoning or some sort of eminent domain type of policy. There are only three conditions where imminent domain is legal for a locality. 1. Major public project (road, school, government facility. 2. In limited cases for economic development (but in this case you will have to find a buyer that has a specific motivation to bring revenue to the community. Or 3. A nationally recognized environmental hazard. 1 and 2 cannot be done because there is no public or economic incentive for something this large so it will have to be 3. Now, I've walked you most of the way. You should be able to answer two simple questions, Who implements federal policy and how does federal policy become implemented?

Failed TV host Don Lemon asked me what I tell my kids. Here’s exactly what I tell them: You live in the greatest country on Earth. You are both black and white, which means you carry the strength, history, and legacy of both sides of your family. Your mother and father love you endlessly. And the opportunities you have exist because generations of Americans fought, sacrificed, built, and defended this nation. I do not teach my children victimhood. I do not teach them to hate America. I do not teach them that they are oppressed before they even begin life. I teach them faith, discipline, gratitude, excellence, and personal responsibility. The race-grifting hustle is dead. Americans are exhausted by people who became rich convincing others that this country is evil while enjoying every privilege it offers. I also remember when @ericswalwell went on this platform and claimed Republicans would outlaw my interracial marriage. Funny how that worked out… Emily and I are still happily married. No mobs showed up. No torches. No pitchforks. But Eric did get politically humiliated and ejected from Congress, because that “paragon of virtue,” never lived by the example he tweeted. Sound familiar, Don? And by the way, Don, since you’re so interested in parenting, what exactly do you tell your kids? Have any?

There was no party switch only a moron would believe that nonsense You would have to believe that every Democrat woke up and every Republican woke up one day and said hey let's switch. And to further debunk it if there was a party switch back in the '40s or '50s like you people claim then the Democrats would not have had a KKK grand to cyclops as a congressman all the way to the late 1990s when Republicans forced them to stop Every time a KKK Grand Cyclops passes away a Democrat president gives their eulogy. Just a month ago the Democrats got busted funding the KKK through the southern poverty center, MILLIONS If there was a party switch then Democrats would not have voted against Black's rights and right to vote If there was a party switch Democrats would not have voted against women's rights You people just want to hide your racist history by inventing cartoon nonsense Just own it It's part of your history Stop acting like a child creating cartoons with crayons to hide your history

Did you not read the screenshot I shared? It's almost like you're actively being obtuse. Local leaders cannot remove grandfathered in infrastructure, especially private infrastructure without some sort of backing or recommendation from the EPA. Do you think a locality can just show up at your house and kick you out without having some sort of backing?
