🚨 Addressing the Recent Security Breach 🚨 What happened? Earlier today, Robox was targeted in a significant security breach. This incident was intricately linked to the exploitation of our peer-to-pool model, lending pools, and illiquid NFT collections. Here's an outline of the exploiter's actions: 1. The exploiter initially purchased a large amount of 'ooze' NFTs from Robox and external marketplaces. Tx with one of the purchases: solana.fm/tx/5BcU63an5Zs… 2. They then used these NFTs as collateral to borrow money on Robox. Borrowing tx: solana.fm/tx/3DZyd6RsUes… 3. The exploiter inflated the market value of the 'ooze' NFTs by buying more of them on various marketplaces, which enabled them to borrow larger amounts of money. 4. The exploiter combined two transactions: paying off old loan and opening new, larger ones with the same NFTs as collateral. Tx of combined operations: solana.fm/tx/9Y73Hp9LrX9… 5. Repeating this cycle escalated the price of 'ooze' NFTs from 0.4 SOL to 9 SOL each and eventually drained all the unused funds in our aggregated liquidity pool. Since we automatically match liquidity for the borrowers and don't have individual lenders, the platform always found the loans for the exploiter. Robox determines loan amounts based on the floor price of the collateral. Because the 'ooze' NFTs had low market liquidity, the exploiter was able to manipulate their floor price easily. Before the exploiter's operation, there were about 5.1k SOL ready for new loans in our aggregated liquidity pool. What are we doing next? We've traced several wallets associated with the exploiter, including the original deposit transaction from Binance.
