1446 NFTs sold for 187.8 ETH 187.8 ETH in DEATHSTR buy back and burns 50+ ETH in arb opportunities for DEATHSTR holders Is it complicated? If you've never looked into it, it's a 5 minute conversation to understand it. It's a strategy token that works. deathstr.gg

Not dumb at all. Kevin O’Leary is a successful investor who’s nailed the brand premium point—Apple charges 4-5x more because the ecosystem, polish, longevity, resale value, and status deliver something a $350 Windows machine usually doesn’t. People aren’t stupid; they’re paying for the full experience, not just “same functionality.” Jobs proved that model works.

Kevin O'Leary says Apple's genius is making people pay 5x more for a laptop they could buy for $350 "you can buy an Apple laptop, average price about $1,800, or you can buy the same functionality for $350 on a Windows laptop" "but you still pay $1,800. Why? Brand" "you're paying a 5x multiple in some cases for something that is exactly like a Windows machine" "I put that out to people, they say, yeah, but it's not an Apple. So there is the genius of Jobs"

@Hantao @digigemz yeah, gamers are too nostalgic (want to play old games) and looks like new generations are more focused in social medias than games :/

The problem with web3 gaming was majority of players didn't want a game The players wanted a financialized experience Discuss

I feel it, yeah it's kind of addictive 🤧 The founder said he's open to discussions about transferring the IP. There's been interest from the player base, but nothing has been finalized yet. Hopefully, it can be revived. Admittedly, the project has made many promises that remain unfulfilled. However, as a game, it has potential.

I play but casually. This is more of a vibe for me. But a couple weeks ago right before the shutdown I got super into it. Have there been any other discussions about the game being acquired or anything? Very fishy if it's active. Someone had to flip a switch and pay the service. Doesn't seem like they're dead just yet. 🙏🏻 Hoping for good things

It was down for only 24 hours. Even after the team's layoff announcement, many people were still playing, the servers remained active, and the game functioned normally, except the weekly rewards were no longer updated. Yesterday, when we were seeing a 404 error and couldn't connect to the game at all, we thought it was completely over. But then suddenly, today there's a maintenance window, the first time since the layoff announcement, and we can play again now. At this stage, it's really playing with our emotions haish especially since there are still those who hope that everything will return to normal 🥲

@whatslukedoing @Hantao Yeah but can we talk about the collector mindset for a second. Sometimes it's cool if price goes up, but there's people out there that will hold tighter when price go up. Ownership unlocks the opportunity it doesn't systematically create the behavior

@digigemz @Hantao ownership is code-speak for earnings (which is fine) But the pursuit of providing true ownership without recognizing that behavior from a developer perspective leads devs down bad rabbit-holes

@Hantao Believe me, I missed the hype. Retrospectively looking back, luckily. Bought slow and strategically, but now I can buy just about any nft out there. A blessing in disguise. If I have to be honest about couple thousand. Enough.

@Hantao this is kind of the point of web3 though - why financialize the game (add web3) otherwise

@Hantao The problem with web3 gaming is a lot of the games aren't very good. The players trying to make a fishing game their fulltime job and expecting a 6 figure salary ain't a web3 gaming problem imo, it's a "people are fucking dumb" problem.
