Then, after World War II, it was rebranded as the Secretary of Defense in 1947. So yes, the title “Secretary of War” isn’t some made-up concept. It’s the original name the founding fathers used. Sorry, your history class skipped that part. But hey, now you know.

It’s Maryland, where wealthy liberals compete in the Olympics of virtue signaling. Their grasp of the Constitution comes from a musical and talking points. They live in million-dollar homes while holding up signs about oppression. I watched a woman with Gucci shoes, Louis Vuitton bag, salon-perfect hair, talk about how oppressed she is. Her shoes cost more than my entire wardrobe, and she’s the victim?

I’m not the one who’s blind. Let’s start with the obvious: we don’t have a king, we haven’t since 1776. What Constitutional rights have you lost? None. If we’re going to talk about authoritarian behavior, removing a sitting president from the ticket and replacing him with a candidate who received no primary votes raises far more serious questions about the democratic process. Trump may be a narcissistic ass, but that’s not the same as being a king. I didn’t vote for him, but I also haven’t lost the ability to look at facts for what they are, instead of following blindly.

53 years ago today, the U.S. officially withdrew the last of our troops from Vietnam, and the final prisoners of war were released – marking an official end to the Vietnam War. As the granddaughter of a Vietnam War veteran and the proud representative of over 13,000 Vietnam War veterans, I join our nation in honoring those who selflessly served and sacrificed for our nation and for democracy abroad. Today and every day, we must continue to advocate for our veterans so they not only get our appreciation but the care and support they deserve.

Try facts. I’m not a Trump supporter. What concerns me is how Democrats and activist groups increasingly rely on exaggerations, half-truths, and outright falsehoods to divide the country. That is far more dangerous. Being abrasive or narcissistic doesn’t make someone a king. That’s a personality trait, not authoritarianism. We have not lost any Constitutional rights. In fact, many Americans felt their freedoms were more restricted under previous administrations, including Biden, Obama, and Bush. Putting a name on a building isn’t an attack on rights: it’s ego. And realistically, it can be undone just as easily after he is no longer president. As for claims of authoritarian behavior, removing a sitting president from the ticket and replacing him with a candidate who received no primary votes raises more serious questions about the democratic process. As Utah Teacher of the Year, I would hope you consider these points carefully. If not, it raises real concerns about whether students are being taught how to think critically or simply what to think.

She doesn't even understand the Constitution. Nothing is eroding. Protestors who did not interfere with law enforcement were not arrested- they were left alone. But when you break the law- you will and should be arrested. That's not breaking the Constitution, that's enforcing it. Article IV, clause 2
