#Earth2 Reality Thread 7 is incoming! Another major #E2V1 Pre-Alpha release so be sure to check out the full article to get the latest & understand why we have been so busy the past 2 months🌍✌️ 👉earth2.io/news/reality-t… As I have said, if we are quiet then we are busy building! A huge amount of updates packed into this release including a fully fledged global questing system, cosmetic skins, multiple new Character devices, new $ESS burn mechanics & utility, new badge access & much more in addition to time consuming improvements on the #E2V1 Global Building System! Our #E2V1 releases are our progress. No hype - just releases & getting the foundations for #Earth2 right. Every Reality Thread brings #Earth2 closer to its long term vision, system on system, feature on feature. One foot after the other. Expanding utility & purpose for land, Essence & other digital items inside #Earth2! On this occasion we are releasing the article in advance so Players have some time to review their existing Quests. As a courtesy, our team has already cleared & auto refunded all $E Quests and also cleared all Quests created before the storage space check systems were deployed, but we still urge Players to check any remaining active Quests before RT7 drops, as when it drops, Quests will be open for completion inside #E2V1. As always, this will be a major release with a lot of large, complicated new systems being deployed, so there is always a chance things can go wrong - therefore if something does go wrong please give the team some breathing room & time to get things right! Once this release is fairly stable we will be pushing forward on the next one. #E2V1 0.3.6.2 is currently deploying. It include new improvements to the global water interactive system which should resolve issues Players experienced after instant teleportation to any location on Earth🌍✌️ earth2.io/news/e2v1-upda… We also implemented numerous updates to a number of core inventory & item management systems in anticipation of Reality Thread 7, but also to fix some remaining issues since Reality Thread 6 & to ensure it is more robust for long term development. We have been working on the 0.3.6.2 updates while also focusing on Reality Thread 7 features. Please check the article above for further details, but the main updates in this version are: 1⃣ An additional fix release for water detection after teleporting, along with fixes for additional water detection issues. 2⃣ Fixed an issue that caused crafting recipes to fail sometimes. 3⃣ Fix #2 above resulted in a further rework of most existing Character systems. These changes improve overall system reliability and also update systems in preparation for Reality Thread 7. 4⃣ An additional fix applied to the invisible leg issue affecting some Characters. 5⃣ Inventory logic adjusted so: • LMB moves a single item • RMB moves all items This is now universal across all systems and applies when swapping items between Inventory, Foraging, Crafting and Mentar Storage. 6⃣ Action Bar “Use Item” logic updated to improve syncing with backend services. Players may notice a small delay between item usage. This delay is expected for now and will be refined further as part of a UX improvement pass. 7⃣ Added the ability to manually resync Character Inventory. This is not required during normal play as syncing occurs automatically, but the manual option exists for cases where unexpected item display behaviour occurs, allowing Players to attempt resolution themselves. 8⃣ Fixed several spatial sound effect (SFX) issues. 9⃣ Additional bug fixes and general improvements. The global water system is very complicated & the updates to the core inventory systems are not trivial, so there may be issues QA has missed over the past 2 weeks of testing, so as always please be patient with the team, report any problems & we will monitor the release closely & fix any issues that may arise. #Earth2 #Metaverse #E2V1 #OpenWorld #PlayerDriven $ESS #PreAlpha

#Earth2 Reality Thread 5 is coming online🌍✌️ Another big Earth 2 release spread across E2V1, multiplayer, API & BE systems being deployed without any downtime, so please give the team space if any issues arise! earth2.io/news/reality-t… The implementation that took up the most time for this release by far was the foundation for the Global Building System, which will pave way to all building placement systems inside E2V1. So that took up a little more time than expected but we're very excited for it to go live now so we can monitor & improve on it. The teleportation system was also a feature I knew that would be complicated & time consuming to implement, which is why I initially flagged it for a later release, however, I wanted to get it out now as it paves the way for upcoming features & also makes community meet ups a lot easier to participate in. It is incredible to look back & realise we have kept our multiplayer & server integration systems live for the E2V1 pre-alpha for 116 days straight now. Over 99% uptime with multiple hot releases & next to zero downtime .. for a Pre-Alpha!! Really proud of this! We've been monitoring the #Earth2 Reality Thread 5 release closely the past 2 days & in this short period of time have just now released version 0.2.5.1 with a few updates & improvements🌏✌️ 1⃣ Improvements to the global water system that handles water activity based interaction across the entire #E2V1 (swimming, diving, searching, drinking) 2⃣ Fixed an issue where Characters would overlap on respawn after suddenly disconnecting from the server - causing abominations! (team will continue monitoring for edge cases) 3⃣ Fixed an issue where Characters were unexpectedly disconnected from the server 4⃣ Updated teleporting system to reflect E2V1 time of day on destination before teleporting 5⃣ Updated the teleport system to display property owner set property description before teleporting Fixed a bug where the shovel was not displayed in multiplayer while digging 6⃣ Fixed a bug where the current season would change for a Character after reviving 7⃣ Other minor fixes & improvements Please check out the article for more details: earth2.io/news/e2v1-upda… We will continue to monitor for any further issues as always. It has been cool to see over a 1000% increase in overall time spent inside E2V1 by Players in multiplayer mode since the Reality Thread 5 release - and even more exciting when you consider the current features are just a fraction of what we have planned ahead! So it's great to see testers & early access Badge Holders spawning Characters & spending more time inside E2V1 than ever, during what is already a very busy time of year when people generally have very little spare time - it has been very rewarding to see indeed! And remember what Players are experiencing now is not what Players in the future will necessarily experience. The current mechanics are mainly for explorers, crafters, discoverable item traders & questers - which obviously expand to many other types as mini-games, conquest & other experiences come online. But by the time Players gain access in the future, including F2P, there will be completely different initial experiences available, even after early frameworks like storage, shops, restaurants, accommodation, mini-games & so forth come online - so while what Players are testing will still be there, there is also be some areas inside #E2V1 that are more developed, especially by the time F2P access is live. Having said that, many Players in the future may still want to focus on exploring, crafting, discovering, item trading & questing after they get access, so don't how big these early Character focused game play elements may become. I think it's also important to note that I have designed completely different opportunities for F2P Players entering E2V1, which perfectly align with the current E-ther is life ideology, some which are very unique, so it will be exciting to see some of those in 2026. Little E2V1 Update Also a quick heads for some of the testers who are getting stuck when trying to spawn a Character. We identified an issue where if you are using a GIF image for your Earth 2 profile photo it will cause problems when spawning a Character - gotta love software development! There is a fix for this issue coming in the next update, but for now, if you change your Earth 2 profile photo to a standard JPG or PNG image then you should no longer get stuck when spawning Characters. This is almost certainly the case with TechOps, who has a GIF profile image, but other Players with GIF profiles will also likely be experiencing the same issue without realising it's their GIF profile causing it. So I just wanted to get this info out early. We are also making further improvements to the location system, specifically in multiplayer mode. It has only taken an extra 1 week so far but worth mentioning as it is the main reason for the delay. When it is ready I believe we will be releasing as 0.1.4.1. The update should include: 🌏further improvements to the location system and multiplayer - this should fix random Mentars and Characters sometimes appearing in the sky 🌍further improvements for multiplayer Character syncing over long distances 🌎an improvement to the location system which should reduce yeeting 🌏a fix for Mentar spawning that should improve the ability to spawn a Mentar - something we release that some testers were having issues with. If you are experiencing the Mentar spawn issue, please wait for the next update before trying again, otherwise you're just retesting a bug we have not released a fix for yet. QA testing for all of the above are looking good, but as always, nothing is ever certain with software development, so after we release the new #E2V1 version we will monitor & make further fixes or improvements if issues still persist. This is all part of the Pre-Alpha testing process, for any project, not just ours. #E2V1 0.1.4.1 is now live for testers. For more details check out the full article below🌎✌️ ➡️earth2.io/news/e2v1-upda… This update includes major improvements to the E2V1 multiplayer location system. Internally QA has actually tested 21 versions over the past 3 weeks leading up to this release - so it has been really intense. While this update is not a stand alone Reality Thread release, other team members have continued working on Reality Thread 5 so some parts of Reality Thread 5 are included in this release, though notably not any major parts. Thanks again to all of our Pre-Alpha testers, your test data, reports & streaming helps us to identify, resolve & improve issues inside #E2V1, fulfilling the exact purpose of having a Pre-Alpha tester group & most importantly continue building on & improving #E2V1! Once this version is stable we plan to release access for the remaining testing group waiting access and then we will turn focus on initiating releases to badge holders & the release of Reality Thread 5. #Earth2 Reality Thread 4 is coming online🌎✌️ This is a big update so please be patient as not only the client is being updated but also our multiplayer server code along with numerous other new BE systems. Reality Thread 4 - earth2.io/news/reality-t… ESS Report - earth2.io/news/ess-30-se… Two articles to catch up on as the plan was to release the report along with #RT4 which took a little longer than expected due to additions and optimisation improvements . You'll know it if you're vibin, it will look like this (speed jumping hitting the SPACE and Q with the right timing). Hope to see some Vibe races on some of the #E2V1 streams! Just note but, if you vibe for too long at the moment our server may detect you using a speed hack and some of the subsequent API calls may fail (i.e searching objects, saving to the Mentar, using Mentar Storage). This is because the server believes you've used a speed hack to get to the position you're in inside E2V1 faster than expected. Another note, the stamina doesn't go down when using this vibe jump, but that's been fixed and the next version release you will lose stamina when you vibe. We will work out adjustments on the BE logic as well so the vibe jump (a glitch we discovered in QA and I wanted to keep it) does not trigger movement hack detection causing API calls to fail. Just reminded me of the CS bunny hop, pretty fun and it takes some skill to master it. I can see it coming in handy, not to mention a bit of fun, for those who manage to master it! Important Update for all E2V1 testers 🌍✌️ This is an important update for all testers. Please download the new E2V1 version 0.1.3.2 released about 1 hour ago - we have set it so the previous build 0.1.3.1 will not have access to the multiplayer so you will need to download the new version to connect. If you are testing the multiplayer with other Players and you cannot see the other Player/s you think should be visible, please save your Character and respawn. If that does not work then restart E2V1 and reconnect. We are working on improvements to intermittent multiplayer connection drops for Players without stable internet which will be updated in next versions. Remember, generally if you can see your Ping in the lower right corner, it means you're connected to the multiplayer server, however, there are some cases where you're ping doesn't clear when a disconnection occurs so just follow the above steps if you're not seeing other Characters you expect to see. If you are steaming or posting videos, please try to note your actual real world location (where you are using E2V1 in the real world) and also note you're testing on a server in Singapore. This will help us and others understand the ping we see in the lower right corner for the stream or recording better. If you are closer to Singapore, you should get lower ping but the ping will increase the further away you are. As you can see in the video I posted on X/Twitter yesterday my ping is in the lower right corner, I usually get 18-25ms ping based in Australia to the Singapore server on a standard NBN connection. So individual Ping WILL CHANGE depending on where you are located in the world, what your internet connection is like, whether you use WiFi or ethernet cable and how far away you are from the current multiplayer location server we're using which is in Singapore at the moment (we will change to Europe and America to test results in those locations as well later). Also important, local time zone time inside build 0.1.3.2 may update one every 5 minutes from the time your Character spawns. That is 5 real world minutes, so equivalent to 20 minutes inside E2V1. The dev team are just testing something and so just keep this in mind if you are comparing times with other Players if you don't see the exact same time in the same E2V1 time zone it might be because the dev team is testing something. The multiplayer is back on now so go for it again everyone and the team will keep monitoring! Try and gather as many testers as you can in one area so we can see how E2V1 handles the rendering (multiplayer network side should handle it fine but we'd like to see the in game rendering limitations with real testers). Heads up that #E2V1 v0.1.3.3 has just been released for closed #PreAlpha testers 🌍✌️ This update involves a some fixes & updates made by the team over the past 24-48 hours which will be officially listed in the #RealityThread4 when it's released. But the main reason for this release is to unlock the glider to testers before it is officially released with crafting. Testers can activate the glider using the F hotkey for now, but when crafting is released it will be an item available in inventory after you craft it. Just a note, if you are on version v0.1.3.2 & come across another #Player floating through the sky (who already updated to v0.1.3.3) then you know why 🪂 #Earth2 #E2V1 #metaverse $ESS #PreAlpha #testing #multiplayer

Authoritative server based in Singapore, me in Australia with 19ms ping & our QA ( test #3236 on screen) with 300ms ping in Europe. Just sharing this as a quick example of the results we have experienced in QA regarding the interpolation smoothness we mentioned in our latest article. earth2.io/news/reality-t… To experience this kind of smooth responsiveness when I am connecting in Australia, to a server in Singapore playing with someone in Europe, is pretty cool. These are the type of results we've experienced in QA & hopefully most testers have a similar experience, but that is the whole reason of the Pre-Alpha state, to test different PC & network environments, and then identify any issues, fix & improve. We are going to test different server locations, starting with Singapore, and it would be useful to see how say a group of testers from Europe experience multiplayer on the Singapore server, a group between America and Europe, a group based only in Asian / Oceania. Remember, this specific multiplayer system we are testing now is for the open world of #E2V1 & will mainly be for interactive experiences that will not always require fast responsiveness meaning people from different locations around the world can interact without too much risk of losing out on something if they have a slightly higher ping. For experiences that involve PvP & even some Co-op PvE type experiences, we will run dedicated services for the specific group of Players participating, with options to select regional location, as those experiences will obviously require lower ping, more responsiveness and so forth. This has been covered briefly in the past but just reminding people again who may have missed that or forgotten. Final reminder, if someone has a really bad internet connection & high ping they will glitch - we can't control how good someone's internet connection is. For those testing together who decide to do a live stream or even record then post later after editing, please try to share details about your ping, FPS (displayed constantly in the lower right corner) in stream or recording and also back to us via the usual tester reporting avenues - we appreciate it🙏 🌍✌️ Not that I should really need to say anything as most people would know, but remember X only supports up to 1080 format, I think they actually force 720p, so the quality of the footage I have shared has been reduced to 720p by X. #Earth2 #metaverse #multiplayer #openworld #E2V1 $ESS #prealpha

Remember, we are still in Pre-Alpha & this will be our first playable release of #E2V1, probably our biggest software release to date! We are still a few days away on the build, just fixing a few known bugs, mainly bugs around the new inventory system, specifically regarding management between the Discovery Box & the Inventory. The article explains the purpose behind testing, so our expectation is for #Players to stay close to their properties to test a few things out because you will be prone to dying easily the further you stray, especially if you don't have a natural water supply close by & food to forage & sustain you. I guess some might be up for the challenge to see how far they can go but that is not our expectation for this initial #RealityThread release! Apparently the article is a 60+ min read (according to our news article publishing tool) so make sure you have a spare moment when you dig in! Flashback on some of the custom Limited Edition collectible #skins created by #Earth2🌎✌️ 🔥 Most of these drops sold out & will only ever be available again on a #P2P secondary market. Congrats to those who own some of these & I can't wait to see how #Players customise some of their skins inside #E2V1 when that feature comes online in the future. I don't believe the #Metaverse should be confined to a single genre, aesthetic or style & that has been an intentional approach from the start. It’s more of a platform that, at its core, will (at least initially) be shaped by diverse elements of the internet, including various aspects of gaming, which will serve as the framework for establishing foundational rules for life, engagement & interactivity within this emerging world - something that will become apparent with the early mechanics inside #E2V1. While the #LimitedEdition #skin drops will slow down after the remaining sets are cleared, we will continue expanding into new genres & styles by way of more traditional unlimited, time-based drops, continuing to empower our #Players to shape & define their identity as part of the deeper immersion within #Earth2 & possibly branching off into role playing, which I see as becoming part of experiences over time. Also, an important note that when skin customisation is available it will come with risk & reward, so the #Player will need to decide on whether to customise a skin or not, as when a skin is customised, it will not be revertible back to its original state. This means the rarity of the original authentic version of the skin can potentially increase the more times that specific skin is customised by other #Players, the flip side being that a well customised skin could literally become 1 of a kind. #Earth2 #E2V1 #Metaverse #Custom #LimitedEdition #Skins
