According to Creators, who were given information by BHVR, this Jason is an original interpretation sort of like Ghost Face. He is not the same Jason as from the F13 movies, and his lore will probably be changed to reflect that.

@mills44444 The cabin live stream misled so many people into believing the big reveal was going to happen only to be staring at a cabin for a long time. People left the stream not wanting to torture themselves with boredom. It wasted peoples time and messed with their sleep schedule.

I think people being upset that DBD Jason isn't the same one from the movies is understandable and valid, but imo a new adaptation of him is fine. There’s already been a F13 remake which I thought was great, and as long as they keep his backstory the same I think it'll be okay!

@BOT_Olly I remembered when I first saw Springtrap's mori. It was exciting to watch. That's when I realized that it was probably the same with you guys too. While I still have some critiques about Jason, the dbd content creators aren't part of the problem.

I'm sorry to the DBD content creators that reacted to the Jason mori video. It wasn't fair for me to say that they were over hyping their reactions. The Jason mori is awesome but I was expecting something more gruesome like in the F13th game.

@DriplessFlame they've made several! their first game was Flyhunter Origins, a simple 2d platformer. they then pivoted to VR development and created Mars Odyssey, Quar: Battle for Gate 18, and Bounce
they also made a Warhammer game around the time of HW1, but flopped so bad its now lost media

I should not have mentioned Ghost Face here as people took it really differently that it was meant. It's an original interpretation in the same way 2009's Friday the 13th was a new interpretation. It's still 100% Jason, but not the one we know from earlier movies. This one's just "exclusive" to DBD. Like how we have Freddy from 2010 NOES, not Freddy from original NOES. :)

Honestly I expected more from Jason. No tp ability, no rage mechanic. He's just another projectile killer. His power is cool but I guess my expectations for him were a little too high.

I think DMS can be swapped out with agitation but Hens is right on the money. Chucky benefits the most from passive slowdown, since things like eruption and pop can be a massive time waste

Don't get me wrong, I'm not particularly excited about Jason myself. But at the end of the day he is a horror icon and complaining that THE horror slasher is the game's 10th anniversary is wild to me. I'm happy for everyone that wanted him and also happy he's out of the way

Jason is awesome in Dead By Daylight, but I can't lie I think he powercreeps Springtrap a bit. To remedy this, I'd like to suggest changes to Springtrap that would at most require new sound effects to be made while making him stronger and more unique.

Fortnite Jason honestly just looks too clean, and obviously putting a horror character in a bright colourful environment wont really work
in DBD he actually looks really good, and I dont even really like this Jason design
